Ok so the most notable DMX "authority" I know of, Sir William White, characterizes plateau sigma as a psychotic episode, not at all pleasant nor desired. Generally the worst thing that can happen to you after reaching the 4th plateau. I wouldn't call it a 5th plateau myself. (http://www.tussingblockwatch.com/attachments/The DXM FAQ.pdf)

Just a fun song, nope I never had plateau sigma even after reaching the 4th plateau in a vicious manner where I wasn't sure I'd make it through the night.

 
One more thought, I don't see how one can reach sigma without passing through a 4th plateau experience. Low doses repeatedly would just increase tolerance slowly and diminish the active psycho-oriented effects with each passing dose. Unless you somehow managed to dose timingly enough to work your way up right through the 4th plateau until mayhem struck your psyche.
