Does it even make any sense to any of you that Amphetamine salts could do this kind of thing to somebody? I've come across a ton of other people that have taken that amount or more and they seem to be just fine.

Mixing alcohol and d amp doesn't work well and makes you feel dehydrated and sick. That probably didn't help. After reading the rest of your post it almost sounds like you have amphetamine psychosis.

If you wanna get back to normal life, you should dedicate all your waking hours to researching the deep web for solutions, seems like that's the ONLY choice you have at this point. Try to look at the big picture, how's your lifestyle, and stronlgy consider having even more tests, complete hormonal panels, that should give some insights since you have these physical symptoms, - you may have "triggered" some kind of autoimmune disease with your perceptions of stress + one "mega"dose adderall + previous drug use (cocaine)?, also consider that a very intense sexlife + lack of sleep + poor dietary choices can worsen your symptoms fwiw.

yeah no way would doing 100mg of adderall 1 time cause any thing like that to happen. especially months later. it sounds more stress related. i mean it seems youve had alot happen to you lately so you have perfect reason to be stressed and have anxiety but i dont think adderall is to blame at all.

Do You Think Adderall Could Cause Thyroid/Gland/Hormone Problems?

I'm currently experiencing a ton of different health issues that I believe could be thyroid related and may have spawned from a large dose of Adderall. Anyone else ever heard of such a thing? Anyone on here with thyroid issues due to amphetamine use?

are you coming down? paranoia? explain your issues young grasshopper.

Man, where to begin? I took 100mg of the stuff (IR) several months ago and since then the following symptoms have been ongoing:

Muscle spasms/twitches
Hair and nails are not growing at all
Muscle pain/weakness
Impotence (Yay for me)
Inability to sweat
Blood in nose daily
Tingling/pain in fingers
Inability to get a buzz from booze
All kinds of fun stuff

Indeed. It was my first time taking the stuff too. If you don't mind reading a bit, it's a pretty long story, here it goes:

So I was stupid and some girl gave me 5 of her Adderall pills (100mg total) and I took them all at once. I was really depressed as my Father had suddenly passed away in April and my girlfriend of nearly 9 years left me just a month later. I had a few beers and a shot on top of the pills and really didn't feel any effects until I got home at 3:00am. I of course could not sleep and was restless. I had no overdose symptoms though with the exception of a racing heart. Anyway, the next day I got up, though I don;t believe I actually slept, and got a 5 Hour Energy drink as I was pretty crashed but still pretty awake too. I went about my day as usual and I thought everything was going to be ok.

Then Sunday night, I had to poop and ended up getting a hemorrhoid which I had never experienced before. Wait...it get's scarier. I went to the ER the next day as my thumbs were numb and tingly and I went online and read a bit about Adderall and that scared me pretty good. They did an EKG on me and the doctor assured me that all would be ok. With that I was stoked that everything would return to normal and I'd get a second lease on life...boy was I wrong. The next few weeks were pretty normal. My thumbs still tingled a bit and I would get these weird zap like feelings in my head but I carried on anyway and over the next few weeks I was able to go to work everyday, see some movies, go to a few dinners and even hooked up with this pretty girl at a bar. Life was gonna be alright, I thought.

Ok, here's where everything gets weird and unexplainable. I was laying on my couch one night and I felt this weird feeling, it felt as though an energy of some sort ran down from the top of my head to the tips of my toes. Like this weird wave feeling. To top that off, I had a feeling like there was a liquid running down my neck, underneath the skin. I was driving home from work one night a few days later and felt this weird feeling (like a electrical sensation) over my head and face and all at once I seem to have lost most of my sense of smell and taste.

Over the course of the next few months a bunch of other symptoms came into play, although I don't exactly know when they happened as I may just not have noticed them until later. Here is what is plauging my life and won't seem to go away: I have lost the ability to sweat even the tiniest bit, I have blood in my nose everyday, I have lost feeling (have numbness) over most of my body, my index fingers are now numb and tingly, I also have very strange bowell movements, only urinate about once a day and my urine is foamy. My muscles ache, I have muscle spasms that can be seen underneath the skin over just about all of my body. My hair and nails have stopped growing totally and body hair falls off easily. Scrapes/cuts are taking a very long time to heal. My sense of smell is way off (especially when it comes to exaust/fume type smells) and my taste has diminished quite a bit. My hands fall asleep randomly, mostly at night, and sometimes lose my breath when trying to sleep. I've lost a ton of muscle tone in my legs and arms, my testicle sac is loose and my testicles themselves seem to be larger than before.

Add to that the lovely fact that I seem to now be impotent and I ask myself what is the point of living like this anymore? I had so much going for me before I made the mistake of taking these pills. By the way, I've been to several doctors, 6 different hospitals, a Neurologist, had a catscan and an MRI. Lots of blood work too and they can't find anything! Even saw a psychiatrist about this because all my friends think it's all in my head. What have I done to myself?! Could this really all have spawned from 100mg of Adderall just one time?! Any insight or helpwould be greatly appreciated. I just wanna get back to normal!

i'm really not sure, because i have done 195mg IR in a 24 hour period before....and all those problems off one time of adderall seems crazy. i wanna say no it's not the adderall. but lets see what other BLers have to say

that sucks that you guys had bad experiences with adderall, i feel for you.

Me, however, have had awesome times with my script. sometimes doing 160mgs in a day and continuing for a few days after. i did notice hair loss, weight loss, scaley/reptilian and greasy skin during binges, but nothing ever persists after i stop

There is no need to make multiple threads about the same issue. It merely makes us all go over the same backstory and different points again which is not helpful. I know you want to draw attention to your issue and get more opinions on it but if we just can't help you we just can't help you and posting a new thread won't be of any benefit.

p.s. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions or concerns about this. I truly hope you get an answer to your question and if I thought a new thread would help your situation I would certainly say go for it, but I think this is over our heads and grouping it all together will be your best bet.

You guys are missing a minor point here. He took 100 mg of Adderall, which in essence is only 75% actual amphetamine, while the rest is comprised of the additional salts. In essence, he probably ingested 60-70 mg worth of amphetamine. If someone can confirm my numbers, that would be appreciated as those are simply ball park.

Regardless, OP, you ingested a far larger amount that any first time user should do.

What I recommend is the following:

A long drug holiday (2 months)
Good diet if you already don't have one...cleanse your body of these toxins
Cardio (Whether it be in the form of running, sports, etc.)

I think you'll be back on your feet in no time. This will take a lot of effort and it all depends on you. On top of my recommendations, it couldn't hurt to see a doctor to express your concerns.

Cheers

i think you may have some disease not related to your adderall use or adderall somehow triggered something to go wrong with your body. i highly doubt a single dose of adderall could cause symptoms like that months later, especially not if there wasn't something else wrong.

Agreed. I think you need to go see a specialist and figure this out. One dose of Adderall can not cause impotence (or at least its never been reported).

Its still 100mgs of amphetamine even if its 75% levoamphetamine and 25% dextroamphetamine or whatever the ratio is its 100% amphetamine in total....8)

Bben, no it's not. If he took 100 mg's of Dexedrine, then it would be 100% amphetamine. Don't roll your fucking eyes at me over a single, and might I add, accurate statement. Read the entire post you putz.

^No need for name calling Tomer. Why don't you just explain to him which part of Adderall is not an amphetamine...

I've read this over and over again, and its mind boggling, but easily explainable. However first thing that stands out to me is all of your symptoms can be from numerous different drug dependencies and psychological disorders. However, you are consistently accusing one particular incident. I'm by no means a doc (well not yet), but I think ur best bet (and I mean this with all do respect) is to WAKE THE FUCK UP AND QUIT BLAMING THAT 100MG OF FUCKING ADDERALL. If you don't I can guarantee more problems are in your future. Manic depressants that live in denial or don't understand their condition. will continue to develope an amazing array of medical conditions with no consistent catalyst. It's called a somatoform disorder, and its surprisingly common. Im surprised and disappointed with the docs. Somatoform disorders vary greatly bc of the brains unlimited potential to reak havoc on the body. It's hard to explain but its kinda like ur brains cry for help, but ur not listening. If you truly believe the addie are the root cause, then I'm not surprised this is happening. The human brain is an amazingly powerful thing. Don't underestimate it. It can cause any psychological and physiological change to the body, but it can change it back too so don't wory. I suggest you accept that that adderall is not ur problem. Find some inner peace, find some excitement and find some love. Eat healthy, exercize, and just improve your overall quality of life. And I hope everything works out for you. I highly recommend st. Johns wart, its all natural, no side effects, and more effective than most medications.

Hopefully this will help too. Best of luck!

Could anxiety actually manifest itself into so many crazy physical symptoms?

you would be amazed how anxiety, depression and stress can manifest into physical symptoms....check this crazy shit out
I moved about 6 years ago to an unfamiliar town to be with my boyfriend, for various reasons the move was very stressful and isolating - I was dealing with a HEAP of other issues in my daily life besides the move itself. I didn't exactly want to acknowledge how stressed out I was nor did i talk to anyone about it, I just kept busy working and slogging through every day; during this period most of my days ended with me crying myself to sleep or having mini nervous breakdowns while hiding in the bathroom.

Anyway, i started to develop a rash around my mouth, I went to the doctor thinking it could have been anything from Herpes(yuck) to some sort of infection(gross) or even Impetigo(gnarly) The doctors couldn't find anything wrong-they did blood tests and skin scrapes and they came back negative for everything. Then a few weeks later the rash spread to my breasts, I was told to go get a biopsy to eliminate the possibility of a rare form of cancer called "Paget's disease" that effects your nipples and milk ducts... So those tests came back negative-

A few weeks after this i developed rashes on both of my thighs and behind my knees which can be indicative of food allergies or auto-immune problems like rheumatoid arthritis or Lupus...So had some MORE tests done with both an allergist and a dermatologist, everything was negative...

THEN..my skin around the rash areas started to literally slough off my body!! For instance if i were to take off my bra or my jeans, a nice 2 by 2 inch patch of skin would come off with the clothing... I had to pad myself with gauze on my chest, legs and knees or i would bleed through my clothes all fucking day- My skin would just come right off my body with no effort at all, I could peel it off like one of those evil space reptiles on the show "V" :)

I went to about a half a dozen specialists, all of whom would refer me to more specialized special specialists; I had test after test and NOTHING came up at all...Finally i went to a shrink, not anticipating any sort of an answer for my health problems but simply because i was almost frantic between the skin thing and the other issues- I was given a low dose of an anti-anxiety med and I went to a councilor once a week just to keep sane and within 3 weeks of starting to "work through" all the shit i was dealing with the skin condition cleared up completely, like it was never there!

I am 100 % sure that all of that was a physical manifestation to stress! Im sure of it because i saw all kinds of doctors and specialists and submitted to a huge spectrum of tests with NO diagnosis or even remote idea as to what all the symptoms could be

Im not saying that your symptoms are def caused by something mental but don't under-estimate the "mind-body connection" anxiety and stress can be very creative insidious little fuckers and they can cause your body to do some really weird shit! It doesn't seem likely that one large dose of Adderall would be directly responsible for your symptoms. I would look closely at the possibility of something psychological esp. if the doctors cant seem to find a physical reason...the mind is very powerful and really effect your body in amazing ways!
Anyway, i don't mean to assume that your problem is psychological but don't discount that idea ; when i was going thru that crap I thought there was NO WAY those horrible and very physical and distressing symptoms were caused by stress...but they were
