Buying sex things from places like walmart

Does anyone ever get embrassed with this? I've seen even grown adults turn blue in the face, looking for lube and condoms. It seems like every walmart I go to has their sexual wellness crap like right in the front where everyone will look at you. The two or three walmarts in my area actually put them right in front of the doors, how embarrassing :|

where do you folks get your sex stuff, I've considered ordering from online, but lube is way too expensive for doing that. Also, if you live with a parent... its a real embarrassment if the package shows up like at 8pm when family is at home. It almost feels like society has to know if we are buying something for our sexual needs. I would almost feel 'less' embarassed going to a sex store for everything, yet a bunch of weirdos go to those. I have an Adam & Eve's store nearby, but I still haven't got the self confidence to do it.

Amazon! Bought my x a California Exotics Jack Rabbit for a great price from there and a bunch of other stuff.

The employees at places such as Adam & Eve, Spencer's, Priscilla McCalls etc... Are usually really great about not making you feel uncomfortable. It's their job to sell these products on a daily basis so there is no need to get embarrassed. And their aren't as many weirdos as you'd think, mostly young women, adventurous couples, and curious teens. But I get it, I used to be embarrassed just for buying sexy underwear at Victorias Secret until I realized that everyone in there was doing the same thing or selling it. Wall Mart employees will judge you for buying anything from black beans to KY warming jelly so I don't get my sexual wellness products or groceries from them. Ordering online can also be embarrassing as, like you said, family members always want to know what's in the box. But usually places like Yandy, Adam & Eve, and Amazon are good about discreet packaging when it comes to these items so if you know your package won't be opened by nosy siblings or parents then you should be okay. Or you could mention that your expecting a package but that it's a gift for someone else so they shouldn't open it.

Holy shit people....do you feel embarrassed when buying toilet paper?
What about food?

I dont mean to sound like a dick but is this a Catholic blog??

yeah, but it is awkward around family. It is awkward in general right? if someone finds your sex things in your drawer, does that person think you are weird? i don't suspect that 'everyone' buys sex toys, condoms, lube on a regular basis. I've only bought things like this out in public maybe two times, and its weird.

I've never really felt weird about it but I'm pretty open like that. My family never went through my closets and drawers. I suppose you could always hide them in the very back if you have family members who go through your stuff. Or get a lock box.
It's not only weirdos who go to sex shops. Trust me. I've usually seen a few people who are obviously into fetish stuff, older people looking for things to kink up their relationship, and normal people.
I order my sex toys online generally because there is more of a variety. You can get some on places like Amazon. When your family asks you what's in the box, it can be anything!

Can you not go to a smaller pharmacy ? May not be as busy as 'Walmarts' and no conveyor belt where you have to put your stuff on show.

It is really nothing though and do you really care what they think about you?

i dont get embarrassment for sex toys etc

most post is in a package you can open later

Look them in the eye. It's on sale and they're selling it. You're buying. It's a free country!

This. It's not like you are forced to go to an adult bookstore. I used to buy porn and sex toys at adult bookstores more than a decade ago when it was either paying a lot for the porn and shipping the item via mail order, or going to an adult bookstore and buying it and saving a lot on shipping.

Yes there was the internet; but videos on there were not that high quality like they have been for awhile now, and porn pics were prevalent and online in an insane amount; but if you wanted video on VHS tapes you had to go to an adult bookstore.

I don't give a shit what people think of me, well, not people I don't know anyway. Lol, I once bought a gas station pregnancy test, turned out they didn't have it in their database so I had to haggle with the guy. Sure I wouldn't buy shit like this around family but my nearest family is a days drive from here. Although, if you do have that problem, around here a lot of places have an optional self service checkout. Might be an option. If not, there's always the internet.

What ever it is you need, buy it with duck tape, rope, and a children's magazine. Look the cashier straight in the eyes when he looks at your items. Don't break eye contact. They won't have any idea of what to make of it and won't question it!

Ps: I'm kidding, but it would be awesome to do that :p

Try not to worry about it. Chances are the person serving you has purchased lube or condoms before so why be embarrassed about it?
I regularly buy lube from my local supermarket where I know all the staff and I couldn't care less TBH, you shouldn't be embarrassed thar you're getting some ;)

thanks for some replies, btw... I know 'some' people buy things like this. I've bought it from places like Walmart before, but where the supplies are located are literally right where people are standing at. There are usually old people, children, and teenagers standing there looking for vitamins. I mean, it is kind of weird to stand there buying astroglide, when some old man is standing behind you looking for vitamins. This kind of stuff should be in the back of a store, not where people are always standing. I would probably feel better going into an Adam & Eve store, or ordering things online, but I still live with my parents. So if I bought anything online, businesses like UPS can actually show up around 8pm I think. If anyone is suspicious about what I bought, then I would be even more nervous. I think the reason why I am really nervous about this stuff is because of the environment, its like going to a church while wearing a deathmetal tshirt. Picking out sex supplies while there are children and old people standing beside you, I just don't feel comfortable lol

I have no shame buying shit like condoms, lube, or even drug parephenelia at walmart.

I would feel a bit awkward if a woman asked me to swing by the sex shop and pick up a dildo for her but I would probably do it if she did shit I wanted her to do for me.

Really their ain't shit to be ashamed of. You are an adult and why in the fuck do you care what people think of you getting laid. Makes no sense to me.

Walmart used to have an actual selection of "back massagers" , lately I just get them from Amazon .com . They never last long with me.... I'm never embarrassed by that though. :) I've got to do, what I've got to do!"

I am really sorry even though no one is reading this really, but I thought I was posting in The Lounge. We are all adults here so just deal with the post the way it is or not and hit report if you are a complete tool.

I remember about 5 years ago there was a Harry Potter "toy" that was a VIBRATING BROOMSTICK.

This did not go over well with parents when they realized it was like a Fischer Price "My first dildo." One parents reported wondering why 12 year old daughter was janking her younger siblings Harry Potter toy with such vigilance only to walk in on her losing her maidenhood a Harry Potter Toy.

U]They were rather distraught and embarrassed so they contacted the media and had them come over for an interview and to take photos of the nefarious vibrating toy and their children.[/U]

I am not sure about the girls age so Hank can use his imagination as girls are hitting puberty in the single digits these days due to the hormones put in our food, especially milk due cuz dairy farmers really juice the milk cows for maximum profit.

I love how dairy farmers threw a temper tantrum when the ones who did not use hormones labeled their products as such. I would think people have a right to know what is in their food but really the people who produce food would rather us not know what is in it and even more so what is not in our food must remain unknown sometimes.

If the FDA says well its no big of a deal (bribes) and well then it is not officially but who trusts the FDA, So when girls are beginning their cycles at 7 or 8 and younger well yeah, its kinda something you reconsider whether is it a "no big deal" thing or not.

It can't be healthy to Fuck with nature. Look at Australia and frogs. Frogs were introduced to eat a bug that was introduced and well yeah what is gonna is going to be the frogs natural enemy, the French?

So anyway here is a link to the product and a review.

Excellent!, June 11, 2002 – Amazon.com Reviewer: “When my 12 year old daughter asked for this for her birthday, I kind of wondered if she was too old for it, but she seems to LOVE it. Her friends love it too! They play for hours in her bedroom with this great toy. They really seem to like the special effects it offers (the sound effects and vibrating). My oldest daughter (17) really likes it too! I recommend this for all children.”

The reviews are hilarious.

Oh my, DM, that's so funny.

I actually think whether living at your or your folks home there should be zero shame in having a private top drawer.

A while back I had to have a word with my local independent grocer regarding selling condoms/lube etc amongst the kids lollies!!

He's a chinese proprietor & said "for retail, not peephole!!" Rather emphatically lol.

For those who don't know me I do have a young sweetchildofmine & had to explain that these items weren't mutually inclusive for viewing by young children & horny teens (or adults).

Ah i remember buying my first sex item in my first relationship, it was a vibrator and i went to a sex shop and got a good one. Then 2-3 years later we broke up and there was an ensuing argument over what to do with it because she was giving me all "my stuff" and she tried to include that, not that it was some angry break up but we definitely argued over it until it went in the trash.

Seriously my only point was I have absolutely no use for it i am not a female nor would any self respecting person appreciate me having a used vibrator. It was actually probably one of the more comical arguments. Sorry to go off topic for a second, ah sex toys the true "children of divorce" after a break up.
