Bathroom while on psychedelics.....

Am I the only one who feels like using the restroom while on DXM or mushrooms or almost any psychedelic is the most weird and alien feeling? I can only imagine the unfortunate catastrophe's that have happened in the restroom...
 
Yeah dude, bathrooms are freaky on psychs. The toilet sounds like a demon and the mirror shows insanity.
 
I find them crazy even when sober. We are made to urinate with a view
 
I call it the bathroom test; You'll know when the trip is starting when you go to take a leak and the bathroom floor is morphing about hahah. Bathroom floors ALWAYS have awesome patterns, I wonder why?
 
Taking a shit while tripping is always weird, I feel sort of violated having to be in the same room with this hideous function of the human body, let alone be the reason why it is happening. I go through many really intense feelings, shame, guilt, bewilderment, confusion and ultimately ending up in a fit of laughter, either at the absurdity of the situation or because I dont know how else to react/cope.
 
Bathrooms ARE unnatural. We were meant to poop and pee in the woods, or, as Mitchi puts it, with a view.

In terms of human evolution, bathrooms are a VERY recent invention.
 
Every time I go to the bathroom while tripping, shit seems to get turned up a notch haha. Get stuck in the weirdest "alternate social life" thought patterns (that's the best I can describe it right now lol, been a while) and visual distortions like breathing walls and patterns become much more prominent.

Might have something to do with urinating --> allowing digestive tract absorption to speed up --> more compound in circulation?
 
Bathrooms are always very odd when under the influence. Its something about all the tile, odd echo/reveb, and sometimes water dripping a little bit for added sound. Its also a place where you generally can be left alone when in a house with other people. Psychedelic showers are just a step away. There is usually good reading material as well, towels for a pillow. I laughed like crazy when I first heard that lordes song "royals" which includes the line tripping in the bathroom.
 
Definitely, could be because it is so cultivated... just like being in nature feels so 'natural' while tripping, I guess it is also natural to take a piss in nature. Obviously we have a much longer and deeper connection with nature.
Everything that people devised as part of civilization is relatively new to our evolutionary developmental path, and while tripping it is therefore rather questionable.
Tripping on psychedelics is sometimes called psychotomimetic, it shares commonalities with psychosis or the schizophrenic mind... for example a schizophrenic may look at a human being with all his habits and see an intricate biological machine that is doing the strangest - alien! - things. Usually during a trip we don't get completely dislodged from our connections with civilization and human psychology... but transient bouts of derealisation and depersonalisation can certainly have similar effects.

Do you think that people taking off their clothes and going apeshit is related to those effects? Maybe that is just a form of regression, going caveman... back to nature, following undercurrent urges...

Also this is a pretty good visual approximation of going to the bathroom while tripping and looking in a mirror, the difference being that it doesn't really start and stop like that.

reggie watts performed a story thing about shitting in this chicks house on mushrooms and he couldn't do it cuz they were listening so they yell at him to just do it.

On a recent low dose trip I decided to go take a shower and I had the sensation that the walls of the bathtub were closing in on me and that I was somehow morphing into them. The bathtub never felt so alien as then.
 
The bathroom is so weird when tripping. Lol, the last two times I've tripped my friend and I ended up at a rest stop's bathroom. We were in the stall next to each other and each time we ended up breaking out laughing. I don't know why, but the bathroom was the funniest/weirdest place. Another time I was at my cousin's house tripping face and she was getting me to go use the toilet, and I ended up accidentally, kicking the toilet with my foot. I was like, "OMG, I just kicked the toilet up off the floor." I imagined I did because of the clinking sound it made and then a thud. Then once I eventually went to go use the toilet I couldn't do it. Everything was melting all over the place and then I was like wait a minute… I can close my eyes and go pee. Well that didn't work lmao.

/This is why I always try to avoid the bathroom when tripping
 
Definitely a little weird while tripping. Mirrors can be a lot of fun depending on the drug. Psychedelics? Yes. Dissociatives and Deliriants? Not so much. DXM and Angel Dust always distort you're body image to incredible lengths. It can be pretty scary you're first few times because you look so different, usually kinda strange looking, by now it just makes me laugh haha but it used to freak me out.

Deliriants are a whole 'nother story.

I was once in the bathroom standing at mirror looking how big my pupils were, so big my eyes looked black. I started to really daydream and in the mirror there was an old bald man with a long white beard for a split second. Very strange.
 
I'll be moderately high prior to entering the bathroom and become really high after coming out. It's a private area and you are left alone with your thoughts with no frame of reference for space or time, and I feel as though that make me trip quite a lot harder.
 
I agree, going to the bathroom on psychedelics is always weird. It's an enclosed space, often white, and often with a patterned tile floor. And it's quiet. So it makes sense to me that it would be bizarre. The last time I dropped acid, I didn't realized how much I was tripping until I went to the bathroom. I was with a group of friends and they were being very chatty, so it was especially weird to suddenly be plunged into complete silence. The walls were white, but they looked like they had a shifting pattern, and they seemed to be breathing.

Bathrooms on DXM always freak me out, though. Looking in the mirror is always a bad move. My eyes look vacant and far-away, and I look alien to myself. It's unsettling as fuck.
 
I had this scary experience on high dose AL-LAD that I couldnt pee on bathroom because i kept seeing spiders everywhere and this has remained and almost happens everytime when doing other psychedelics and going into the bathroom. But I knew those 'spiders' were just my pubic hair and hair on my tummy which cloned on to those spider looking hallucinations so they dont scare me as much anymore. But that high dose al lad trip could have gone terribly wrong, good thing i wasnt alone but i had to go pee outside on my yard haha.
