5-Meo-AI

(i) It has always been my understanding that MMAI stands for 5-methoxy-6-methyl-2-aminoindan.

(ii) If 5-MeO-AI is anything like 3-MeO-MA, don't expect much.

Speaking of 5-MAI, I swear to god, this new huge upswing in the RC market is going to hit a brick wall eventually when they hit something with real, acute toxicity, like the aforementioned combo MAOI and releaser/uptake inhibitor. A bunch of kids will die or end up in the hospital, and shit`ll really hit the fan. Feels like it`s only a matter of time eh?
yea well and? thats natural selection
WTF? Natural selection? Are you nuts? Apart from the loss of human lives would such an event take down large parts of the current oh-so-much-loved RC-market. And while I don't give a fuck for the people who commercialise all these drugs, I have to emphasize that it will be a loss for the entire community because some really precious compound will be made illegal together with the crappy stuff.

After all, I have to agree with Inedible; this development is absolutely predictable and seems unavoidable. Damn!

Nope. Nichols > than research chemical hype-men, and he established the nomenclature first. :p

Why would we expect it to be?

ebola

No this is about 5-methoxyaminoindane (5-Meo-AI). I had 250mg of it which I insufflated 50mg approx every 30mins. Was a pleasant stimulant with some euphoria but the nasal burn was very unpleasant,

Is there any valid (read logical) reason to replace the iodine on. 5-iai with a methoxy group? Or is it just a really stupid means of trying to capitalize on the "name recognition" that methoxy groups in the context of esoteric chemicals tends to have.

Just to be clear, it is 5-methoxy-2-aminoindan correct?

Is there a pharmacologicaly or potency based reason to produce 5-mai ?

Did anyone try it besides ingo_1978 ?

Based on that one sentence trip report I guess it's a stimulant and not an entactogen?

From the fact that he felt like he didn't wan't to drink more alcohol, is that a sign of 5-HT1A activity from the "Inhibition of drug-seeking behavior"? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/5-HT1A_receptor)

5-IAI wasn't a winner because virtually none (perhaps literally none) of what was sold as 5-IAI actually was.

I had 5I-AI once. It was definitely a bit better than 5-meo-AI. Mdai was ok on it’s own, as as the 5-iodo variant. 5meo-AI has to be combined with something, it’s a bit boring on it’s own. Then I had 4-methyl-AI, 2-AI and N-methyl-2-AI which were all utmost crap.
