Have You Ever Overdosed? [and all overdose discussion/stories]

when i was about 10 i went home from school and had a look in the medecine cupboard to find my old inhalor from when i had asthma (when i was 2 years old) i decided to take a few puffs out of pure bordem. i ended up taking every last puff to see what would happen. my mum returned home to find me playing a computer game completely freaking out. she asked me if i had taken something, i said i dont know lol. she rushed me to a&e when i admitted to taking a "few" puffs of the inhalor. i was vomitting and my heart rate was through the roof for a day or two. i stayed in hospital while they monitored me with wires sticking out of me everywere. they said if the inhalor wasnt out of date i would have died within the hour :/
 
When I was 19 I was on vacation in my home country, and in pharmacies there you can buy benzos, any amount you want, without prescription (opiates too if you bribe the pharmacist). I had only experience with opiates, weed, meth, never tried any benzos before, so I thought, why not let's try it.

So I researched what's interesting, made a list and went to the pharmacy to buy about 3 packs of 2mg Xanax (60 pills), 3 packs of 2mg Lorazepam (60 pills), 5 packs of 30 mg Diazepam (30 per pack here, so 150) and random lower amounts of Bromazepam, Temazepam and Oxazepam. You'd cringe at the amount, but one pack would cost around $2 if you change it to US dollars, so it's really, really cheap.

Well, back home (we have a house there), I started I think on Xanax as I heard they are the best, half hour later felt nothing. Never tried benzos so didnt watch for the subtle relaxation, expected more something weed-like. Tried Lorazepam, Diazepam, and went through one pill of everything. By then, in hindsight, I was pretty much completely hazed, but didn't realize it and kept on taking.

We were there 3 more days then went back home by car (was not driving ofc). Luckily, my mother is quite the relaxed person, because I can't remember one bit after starting to take the pills until about 2 days when we where back. One of these days, the last one, I was even at work. I have no idea how i get there. My colleagues later told me I was not very talkative and worked rather slow, but they suspected I hadnt slept much on the way back from vacation.

Well, 5 whole days of a memory black hole. I took ALOT of pills, the amount I still had when I was clear again was, well, laughable compared to the enormous stash before.

My equivalence dose in diazepam to everything must have been somewhere well into 3 digits. Luckily I'm quite big and heavy and generally can take a lot of drug punishment before something gets me.

Since then, I always have some benzos around for when I run out of my prescription pain meds early or when my doc happens to be on vacation, but I'm not taking them for fun again.

My overdose left me disabled. Being brought back so close from death obviously has its consequences.

It happened 11 years ago following a night of drug binge at a rave party, I then left in the morning and went back to a friends and took a mixture of Ecstacy, Mda and Amphetamine and got into some wild sex, a few hours into it I began to burn up with severe hyperthermia and my whole body went into a numb "pins and needles" sensation, my heart was irregular and beating like crazy, I remember is smelling an intense chemical smell in my nose and my vision was all blury with occasional moments of losing consciousness. I ran for the the cold shower and sat there waiting for the paramedics and it was the last thing I remember before waking up in hospital.

I was given some "Dantrolene" and placed in an ice bath, I stayed in hospital for two days but upon release I was no longer the same person, I was now disabled with a neurological condition and a damaged Autonomic Nervous System. For the past 11 years I have been living with the daily effects and consequences of my overdose. I overheat everyday with fevers, I have to wear a cooling vest so I can go outside in warmer weather. i have problems with all my body's automatic functions such as heart rate, loss of sweat function, breathing, blood pressure, digestion, sexual function and temperature problems.

How my views on life changed:

Made me realize how dangerous drugs really are, made me learn to respect my body and life, made me realize how vulnerable we really are, and so much more but I don't want to bore you guys with my life story.

OD'd on fantasy a while back at a rave. It was the scariest thing I’ve ever been through. remember it all except for the time that I was seasuring. The full body pain lasted for about a week and had a dislocated shoulder from the fall. Bit my tongue almost all the way through.
Only other time was an intentional OD on tram after my best mate died. Thankfully I regretted the choice about 15 mins after taking 40x50mg tabs and vomited them up and went to hospital. No real side effects after the pump/charcoal apart from visions for about 3 hours and a WICKED head ache for a day.
 
Most I've done is just 270mg Methylphenidate with 20mg Adderall
Pulse was 100... I couldn't shut the hell up
Not much an OD

Another time, no tolerance, 20mg Klonopin (was in an airport, chickened out on trying to get it on the plane so I just ate them)
I was going on a class trip to New York City... LMFAO
I remember everything, shit didn't even make me drowsy, I still had anxiety even... lolwut... P.S. I was 15 years old and 160lbs at the time
 
I overdosed twice during my Los Angeles adventure.

OverDose #1 : I started going to skid row in downtown la to score heroin. I bought a 10 dollar balloon. For one, dallas doesnt have balloons, and its a lot stickier here, but that is besides the point. Yes, cali has way fucking better heroin than dallas. I had slammed an entire dime once before and survived, so I thought id go ahead and do it again. Slammed the dime, was cool for a few minutes. Nodded the fuck...out...My buddy, THANK GOD, was with me. He got on top of me and started slapping me because I was not breathing and turning blue. Then he said he started punching me in the face, and had to do that for almost 60 seconds [4 times] before I came to. When I came to, it didn't feel like anything had happened. I just faded off. Same thing with the GHB

Overdose #2 : One of my buddies down there always had a gatorade bottle full of GHB [G] and he left it in my car one day. I was on heroin and meth, and decided to dip into the G. I took 4, maybe 5 GATORADE caps full of G. I was by the side of a busy road, so luckily someone called the ambulance when they saw me fall out. It was similar to the heroin overdose, I just faded out, no real discomfort. I remember everything turning white though and then shadows appearing, which turned out to be the paramedics. They said I was not breathing, and due to my trac marks, they thought I ODd on heroin so they gave me narcan. They had no idea I was on G. Either the narcan worked, or I came to because of them yelling at me. Either way I fell pretty fucking lucky.

I have overdosed on other shit as well through the years, had seizures and shit, but I feel like these are both my closest calls and most recent overdoses. Playin it safe these days. I am lucky as hell.
 
When I was new to Oxycodone, I swallowed a lot of pills on my 2nd time.
And I had like no tolerance, so I remember sitting there being limp as fuck, thinking that I shouldn't fall asleep and should move.
But I just couldn't, my breathing was so so so slow and I was like a limp dead body in the sun for a long time.

I woke up with the sorest back and skin, my back was in the hunchiest of hunch for a long arse time, so the ligaments in my spine or wahtever got all stretched.

Anyways, not that big of an OD but still an OD.
Felt like super fuck for a while after that too, quite a long while.
 
Overdosing

Wondering if it's ever happened to any of you guys? Me one time on just Heroin, I had just gotten out of rehab and did only 1 pack and I was out ems was called to bring me back. I really don't think it's much of a risk if you are addicted or have been doing the drug for a while. What do you guys think is the most dangerous drug to od on and why. I'd have to say heroin mixed with xanax, I've heard of a lot of ppl going out that way.
 
od'd twice on oxymorphone.

I'd have to say smoked fent is the most dangerous drug I've done - it's certainly taken a lot of people
 
To Pavel, it's very common for people to OD after taking a break for whatever reason just like what happened to you. I have never OD'd. Are you an IV user?
 
Yes, I've been an IV user for about 4 years now. Other then the one time, I've never even came close to overdosing. It's weird because people will do the same dope as me, same amount and they will be all jacked up and nodding out and I'll be perfectly fine.
 
every one thats saying your friend saved your life by beating the hell out of u or using cold water or using anything BUT an antagonists are idiots....please learn somthing from this place dont think ull be fine as long as somone is there to beat u back to life
 
Most dangerous drug to OD on?

Methadone and Xanax combo. I rank this higher than Heroin and Xanax because the effects of Methadone take much longer to 'hit' you. So the user will eat more tryin to find that zone they're lookin for. It also lasts alot longer, and the user may take more/or something else thinking they are no longer high.

I have noticed it's hardly ever only heroin, or only methadone, or only whatever. The key ingredient that's always there is Xanax. I don't think they're is enough awareness on how dangerous Xanax is when mixed with other substances. I don't know if it's like that with other benzos too, but Xanax is the common factor in every OD I have seen in with the people in my life.

As far as Odin on the drug you been on for a while, there has been a few times I got some dope, and Im very fortunate I tested it before doing my usual dose. All it would have taken is that huge shot of some real shit that shouldnt have hit the street yett and BAM... lights out.

So you woke up with a sunburn? I thought you overdosed... did I miss that part or did you leave somethin out?
 
I merged a new thread in NASADD that was about if anyone has overdosed in with this thread here in DC. It's the same thing really.
