Television Intervention

^dunno, i was watching it at work and then some customers came in and i had to change the channel.

it was probably for the best.

tube girl was the most disgusting episode to date imo. i like when she was talking about being a mother and said "i want to be a good mom, but you have to wake up, and make them lunch ughhh" poor children.

in rehab she ended up swallowing baby food and gained 25 pounds.

omg! i couldn't even watch the previews! i skipped last week because of that. i mean, is that foreal? holy moly.:|

^ yea, sometimes im in the kitchen and that episode pops into my head and have to try and take my mind off it or else i wont have an appetite.

the worst part was how she flaunted it in front of everyone! here, i'll come to your bar-b-q and eat thru a tube. wtf???? i've known plenty of people (even men) with eating disorders and this was way more extreme. she was basically torturing herself and making everyone watch......i'm sure there's a psychological term for it, but it is the most intense eating disorder i have ever seen....

last night's intervention about diabetes was just horrible. Not horrible in a real sense of the word. Just downright boring. Come on...diabetes struggles vs. smoking crack, shooting blow, drinking mouthwash, and crazy out of control fights and rage, and so on?

I assume he was a diabetic who was addicted to some illicit drug and was not taking care of his diabetes... no? I missed it but I have it TiVo'd.

No dude. No drugs, just diabetes. You know how at the begining of the show how they have that little blurb at the bottom of the screen that says "millions of people suffer from addiction this is so and so's story" This guys blurb said "Millions of people suffer from diabetes. This is John's (I think that's his name) story."

All it was was him not taking his blood sugar and just not taking care of himself. Granted, I felt sorry for the guy when he got blown off, and you could tell he was depressed, but I just didn't feel his episode belonged on Intervention.

^It seemed more like an episode of Healthcare Intervention. I mean, I suppose the psychological aspects of it are closely related to those of addicts, but I have to agree that it was not as interesting to watch as most episodes are.

The woman that tube fed herself had serious psychological issues stemming from the sexual abuse she endured as a young child, they just manifested in an unusual way. That was a heartbreaking episode.:(

I'm ready for the straight up drug addicts on Intervention again.

tube girl totally thrived on attention. Sure, she was sick and everything but to tube-feed yourself at a CHILD'S gathering, that's just downright wrong. In some of these people you can actually see that they somewhat get some pleasure out of seeing their family read the letters and have a reaction to them during the actual intervention, and she was definetly one of those people.

1-19-2009 "Cassie" this girl is so gorgeous. and just a horror to be around.

that woman that was huffing the duster was so funny.

"I'm walking on sunshine!"

what a horrible substance to be addicted to, eh?

duster girl was a classic, as were ben and chrissy or christy. oh and dillon lol. I always love any episode about heroin or the other hard drugs because I can relate well. I'm not big on the eating disorder or alcoholic episodes just because I don't understand them as well.

i cant stand and will not watch the episodes about meth or crack addicts. i really do not like how people behave while on those substances.

ahh duster girl
she was so saddddd

there was one though that almost made me cry
i cant remember who it was exactly
i think im gunna do some research and find out and then repost it :)

HUBERT!
omg that one almost brought me to tears
he seemed like the sweetest guy

I watch this show all the time, but like someone before said, I watch until the intervention and then I usually bail. They always get them to go in the end because they threaten them with jail or something else that would completely devastate them if they turn the "gift of help" down.

I really like the meth ones, I think probably because it's the only drug that I have absolutely no experience with, and it fascinates me.

The alcohol ones don't usually interest me, but this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFuRiJdbEX8 is pretty entertaining. The part where she falls over in the lawn and her niece is asking her if she's dead is fucking hilarious.

The one about Allison, the girl who inhales computer duster is a pretty good laugh too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8EFb_SeXjg

Enjoy : )

^"It's like I'm walking on sunshine." :) very sad, but I cant help but laughing at that statement.
