I took out a $5,000 dollar loan over the weekend to bet on Alabama

@OpiateKiller so is the rush worth the burn? I shot up pregabalin before but it didn't work, i hadnt researched it. I got interested in phenibut because i heard it feels similar to pregabalin but ive yet to try it.

Making me think of the opening paragraph to On the Road.. the thing is what happens if we explode.

Whoever mentioned accumulators i remember my old man putting a few quid, maybe a fiver, on either an 11-fold or a 13-fold (football) and winning like 2 and a half grand. He woke me up saying he was opening a bottle of champagne and getting the cocaine out 😂 i was still in school and said i had to be up early, he said shut up fuck school im calling you a taxi get down to mine we are celebrating.
Such a sensible parent 🤘😂🤘

I never got the hang of sports betting, what with your over–unders and your point spreads.... I watched a great movie on the subject, though: a classic from 1974 entitled simply The Gambler, featuring the great James Caan as a college professor obsessed with sports betting.

It's not the same thing, but I have done alright betting on horses over the years. My grandparents got me interested, they were diehards who took me along to the OTB from the time I was a toddler and taught me how to handicap a thoroughbred race.

There's definitely skill involved in betting on horses (as on sports), even though horseracing always got a bad rep for corruption and animal cruelty. (Though not as bad as greyhound racing did... remember dog tracks, anyone?) Horseracing seems to be dying out, too... which I find a little sad.

No.. that’s not what I’m saying.. looks like your throwing in the towel.. fuck that shit. You just went through rehab.. now your really bright. How would a really bright person like yourself work this out?

i grew up not even knowing sports betting was illegal - everybody did it

my buddy's dad used to answer the phone with a tape recorder, taking bets all day on Sunday...and we thought nothing of it

we used to have these football tickets in high school - you would circle a minimum of 5 college and pro football teams vs the spread.....and then circle the numbers down below, write down your first name or nickname and how much you're betting, tear off the bottom of the ticket, give it back to the guy with your cash, keep the top half and bring that back if you win and the guy would pay you...it was great!

and then when i was 15 my 10th grade history teacher taught me what an IF REVERSE bet was....

betting on the horses is fun too - we used to bet games, hang out at the racetrack, watch the game we bet and bet the horses at the same time

Same I'd of never known growing up gambling was illegal. My dad was a bookie my entire childhood I'd see people come Sunday night or Monday after work and I'd always be like dad why do you have so much cash all the time? He's like son it's good to be the house when it comes to gambling

Till one day he broke his rule of not taking bets over 10K and someone hit a bet on him for 25 grand, he retired after that. Still said he made 50 grand through the years

Never that. You know I joke about quitting all the time but until I'm dead I won't ever actually quit on life. And I won't kill myself either or if I had the balls to do that I'd have done it a long time ago (don't believe much religion but I do believe killing yourself is really bad look if Heaven does exist)

I just ran out of lyrica and phenibut, so if I don't die of a grand mal seizure I will prevail. Only got 6 gabapentin 300 mg to get me off of gabapentinoids

Hopefully the panic attacks don't come back with avenge I've been pretty good the last week

i bet he did still do well! that's awesome dude - see that we speak the same language

i was always told you need 50k to start up a bookie biz back then - and by back then i mean the late 80s early 90s...the house always wins...you know they cleaned up on Georgia

but yea you want the guys that bet 6 games a day as your customers...the degenerates....like us

Your a game master.. whats the functional equation?

Lyrica Withdrawal*Phenibut Withdrawal-Gabapentin+Panic Attacks-Strong Mental Will+History of Extreme Drug Use = +/- 11

Nah I’ll be fine for real. I’ve really wanted to shoot cocaine lately though just been waiting for a drug test

I probably should not do that though

Having money literally stresses the hell outta me. Gambling would kill me for sure lol

I broke the cardinal rule. I was feeling it’s time Vegas really paid your boy.

$2000 on Memphis grizzlies -2 and VCU money line +120 parlay.. if I hit this it’s the bet of the fuckin century for me. $8000 payout.

I might be buying all of Bluelight shots tonight

I don’t know how much money I’ve watched my good friend pump in three bet parlays. Sure he hits, but overall he is so down.. like down houses, buggies and retirement down. Gambling junkie, one of those tip scam guys used to call him in the middle of the night.. he would get so fired up.. he’s a hot head and that guy would just play off it. Really their scam comes down to a traditional house scam.. get half the junkies on one side half on the other.. they win either way. Limp them along.. Never pay some fool to give you a “lock” because then your just a dumbass mark.
