Hu? Shuglin documented intravenous doses of ~10mg resulting in an overdose in TiHKAL. 10mg should give effects orally too.
 
Zero Beta... either you have some sort of insane tolerance, or you got some extremely impure 4-AcO-DMT, or another compound entirely. Those doses are tremendous.
 
Tried this again after about a year since my last dose. Unfortunately my conclusion is that this drug is not for me. It really amplifies my depression and anxiety, so much so that I resorted to taking 1mg etizolam after a couple hours. Not your classical bad-trip panic attack type anxiety just focusing on everything that is stressing me out and unable to find solutions. Was feeling damn near suicidal until the etiz did its thing.

I think this only works in combinations for me. First time was with MDMA and had my first encounter with divinity. Any time I take it alone my trip always sucks.

This is exactly how I feel when taking 4-aco-dmt.

Also tried it first time combo with MDMA and it was very joyfull experience like a baby birthday or something very similar to it.

Second time I tried it without combining and it was so uncomfortable. Constant body tremor or to be precious feeling that all your body muscles vibrating with very high speed wich lead me just to sit on sofa and wait till trip ends. Simultaneously eye closed visuals was very unpleasant too. From that time I have no more reason to try it again.

But I must add that second time I tried it exactly after antibiotic medication. So maybe 4-aco-dmt was just sumarasing all side effects of antibiotics, but I have no more courage to proof it. :)

With the intention of purchasing some 4-ACO-DMT I have been trying to investigate various Chinese vendors online to ascertain if any of them are reputable or if they are all just scammers. I live in the UK so the chances of getting it here legitimately are zero and I have no knowledge / confidence in the "darknet" and haven't figured out bitcoin yet so that's off the cards for now. So after sending various messages of interest to various sellers I got into a conversation with a representative of a research chemicals seller who is offering to sell me some 4-ACO-DMT ..yes I know it's taking a big risk and I'm still trying to find out any info on the seller that I can. The red flags to this already are that they want payment by WesternUnion and don't offer paypal or the other usual payment methods but offer a "tracking number"..yeah right. So far this has been the story with all the Chinese sellers that I've looked into. Anyway she sent me some pictures on Skype of the product and it's a dark brown crystal, not at all what I would expect. Any opinions, suggestions would be appreciated.

I've had a similar batch op dark-brownish/black-ish crystals of 4-AcO-DMT from a very trustworthy vendor. It was a great product, identical in effect to more white/off-white powdery batches I've consumed.

But as always: test it to be sure, since there's no way one can identify the purity of a product through pictures.
 
Interesting. I would have expected if it was a scam to have been sent images of a bag of your typical off-white crystals so I suppose it could be legit. Hope so.

Yeah I've had brown goopy like textured 4-AcO-DMT before too. Still very potent.
 
The obvious thought is that the brown product is has largely turned to psilocin but since it has come like that very hard to tell
 
I don't know anything about what 4-AcO-DMT normally looks like, but that picture says "degraded/oxidized tryptamine" to me. At best.. Also kind of looks like incense resin.

I can relate to your experiences, although IMHO this compound has the tightest dependency to the current mind and body set of the user of all psychedelics. I had also one positive experience on a medium dose but then a few negative after a few years with the symptoms you both mentioned.

It is likely, that the 4-Aco-DMT degraded into something else over time and the resulting compound is causing all those negative side effects. The degration process was also described by Shulgin in TIHKAL.
 
If it "degrades" to 4-HO-DMT, then count me in... I had synthetic 4-HO-DMT a few times and damn if that wasn't one of the greatest things I've ever tasted. Much better than 4-AcO-DMT.

so what is the difference that you can tell. Are you talking about visuals or the mental aspect?
 
Damn do I want a large-scale synth of psilocin to happen, seems like the perfect chemical to me from all I've read. I'd still rate 4-Aco-DMT as very good though, definitely a tryptamine psychedelic and a modern classic.
 
Finally took this and it was pretty awful. It is definately different to psilocin; It’s clearer, less visual, less dark and so on mentally so a bit easier - it felt a little hollow compared to shrooms = all these things could be an improvement over psilocin except it has pretty much the full range of unpleasant symptoms and sides effects that make shrooms an ugly endurance test even if the trip isn’t too bad.
I chicken out and only tried 20mg and yeah probably equipotent with psilocybin which is supposed to be about 10mg per gram of decent semilanceata - I guess this was like 2g semis so a modest go but then it was rather different so hard to say beyond roughly.
I was pretty determined with shrooms and came back to them after swearing off many times over the years - at the end of the day they were decidedly unhelpful - At least I tried but I am not going to make the same mistake with this stuff(of bothering to repeat the experience)

If someone gets on with mushrooms or find them enjoyable or helpful though they will likely get on with this; if your not in that camp try other psilocybin analogs that are much less similar or PEAs or lysergamides
