Gibberings CXCV - Back in the day we'd change a thread title and it'd stay changed

I have successfully tidied my room and put allthe laundry away so now I am twiddling my thumbs wondering if I should go try procure a bag of weed.
Whyever not? It would be almost a sin not to ..... and certainly better than smoking undiluted tobacco, or ingesting some weird-named research chemical bought off the Internet that is not known not to cause growing of additional heads .....

it is the Lord's day and all, wouldn't wanna be sinning today! ;)

You are claiming that my post didn't seem to fit with the general conversation?! I posted about rolling papers in a conversation about rolling papers! What the actual fuck, ya incoherent gibberer =D

guilty as charged :D...once again you've proven more pedantic than me.

TBF I have been gibbering nonsense for a good 24hrs, harmless nonsense though, you're trying to use coherent argument and logical thought in your responses, pointless.

I liked thee summary in the last line, succinct and very well observed...considering you've been smoking Heroin all morning ;)

And this is why I <3 you =D

Tis mutual man love <3

He got a bit feisty TBH, I had to rack another line to pull through, I knew it was getting out of hand when I couldn't understand my own posts.

I think I winged it OK though, ensuring none of it made sense was my underlying strategy, I fully accept the mantel of incoherent gibberer

You're welcome gl

Indeed, BC/gl Tidy room tidy mind(s).

Smoking's technically not a sin ( although the bible exhorts us to look after our bodies as a temple)..Being an occasional smoker I'm not under the rule of sin anyway I'm under Grace a new covenant.. though I know He wants me to quit.

Grace doesn't mean you do what you like... but this isn't the place for theological discussion unless people want it to be.

See, in your case it doesn't seems like such a bad strategy, to just admit you weren't making any sense--compared to the strategy of pathetically whining about another's posts being tetchy, antagonistic, condescending, or pendantic :D

PS. Ran out of Smoking Brown. I'm skinning up with Actavis Blues now, hurr hurr

Shell fish are an abomination though ;)

I'm not convinced my the assertion that because the translation of a translation says something like look after our bodies as a temple means smoking is a sin.

You could state that being overweight is a sin, or not having a decent wash of a morning, aside from your personal relationship with your god so you really think such an entity would judge us in such detail ? it's something that has always troubled me with religion.

I am getting grouchy as my nice buzz wears off, Don is likely still sleeping like a tramp and my dealer isn't answering even tho he text me after I called the first time. Sunday trains suck for picking up.

Hi Allein,

I didn't say that because the bible calls our bodies a temple of the Holy Spirit that smoking is a sin... I wouldn't want to make new 'sins'. But because under the new covenant ( NOT OLD = SIN) we are in relationship with God and are called to be Holy ( bearing his untwisted reflection)

When we are reborn as spirit we reflect Him spiritually..a new creation. Clearly though our flesh/will/emotions/washing habits are a work in progress.. its a different project.

To Jews shell fish were and looked at as abomination. Under the new covenant they aren't.(acts 10)

k? :)

P.S i'm sure God loved Jesus just as much when he came back out a showerless desert after 40 days and nights.

PPS really, read acts 10 its not long and will put you straight on the what is clean what is not clean issue

ppps im not saying smoking is ok... I feel bad to smoke because I love him and I know he doesn't want it for me :(

I wasnt trying to be rude, I was raised a Christian, my mother was a Sunday School teacher and I spent years at a church school so I'm pretty familiar with the bible.

I have no problem with Christian folk, all religions are founded on good, love and kindness IME, I know many Christians that live their beliefs, helping others trying to be good people.

My personal beliefs preclude following such written words, it's very much a personal thing and I wouldnt suggest your wrong in your beliefs, maybe we all have our own path to truth. I find texts and organised religions to prescriptive and I don't believe in God in the traditional sense. I don't believe Jesus was the son of God for the same reasons and the idea of a god that interacts with our world at the kind of level you believe just has no resonance with me at all.

I hope none of that offends, I respect your beliefs and can accept that maybe we all perceive these things in different ways, I don't see it as a right or wrong situation.

Good good, now come tidy mine please.

My fun Sunday has consisted of a 6 hour round trip up to bham to get all my stuff so now I am sitting in a room that is so full of stuff I can hardly move.

I am meant to be sorting it out but am exhausted and feel like collapsing. Collapsing is especially tempting as I now have 2 duvets and about 5 million pillows which is like having a bed on top of a bed and is comfy as fuck. I feel like a queen.

Alas, time for a few lines of motivation-drone and err ahh... tidying? I GUESS.

Helpppp :(

I didn't think you were being rude Allien. I wouldn't want to appear rude either... though sometimes I get a bit frustrated and passionate..but that's my problem and I shouldn't inflict it on others.

anyway you know I could talk forever on this topic but ive got to go out now.

Peaceful day to you. :)

Felix hi, yes it is... But maybe next time we could take theo chat to the theology thread if enough want it. would that cheer u up?
