I don't know if this is a stupid question but i'll ask it anyway =D

Do you believe that your cat, dog or any other pet that's around you when you smoke, get high too when you are blazing and have all that smoke in the room?

Part of me believes that it is because my cat reacts on my extreme calmness and therefore cools down more, but i swear she is fucking chill whenever i'm smoking some weed in my living room %)

And if so, is it very dangerous for the animal?.

?

Animals get high just like people.

That said, don't force your pets to get high. That's a dick move. If they come to the smoke and chill, cool, let 'em. Don't grab 'em by the snout and force a shotgun into their nose like I've seen many a douchebag do.

In terms of danger, my thoughts are some kind of nasal infection from the smoke (fuck the bullshit, dogs (and even cats', to a lesser degree) noses are insanely more powerful and sensitive than ours are), or being snapped at by your own animal if you try to force a hit on them.

On the other hand, I've seen a small dog get into some edibles and start seizing up several hours later. Taken to the vet, cared for, healed, it's in the past-- but yeah, too much bud can fuck your pets up.

Let me get one thing straight...i would NEVER force drugs upon an animal, especially not my cat, i love her to death and watch here carefully when i'm smoking in her surroundings, always have a window open en redirect her from the smoke as much as possible.

Again, most of her 'stoned' behaviour could very well be explained because of me being cool as f**k. Animals, and cats and dogs in particular, respond strongly to their bosses behaviour.

I'm suffering from GAD/Bipolar/ADD, and am trying to use as little as possible, i don't smoke more then two times a week. drink two, sober 3....
In general i am a nervous wreck...

But whenever i add a little weed to some beers, i just get relaxed as ****.

and it seems like me Cat gets high too, but again, im not sure if she's high or just chill because im chill..

Yes, animals of all kinds can get high. It's not because you're acting stoned, it's because they're stoned.

My family's cat is an asshole and doesn't really like chilling in bedrooms, but if she smells weed anywhere she always tries to get a hit. At first I just thought she was warming up to me, and I didn't want to get her high. But then she started sitting on my window-sill every time I loaded a bowl (I blow the smoke out of my window), and would lay on me after a couple of hits were blown her way.

Just like Jibult said, though, if your animal doesn't want to get high, don't get them high. It's rude, it's crude, and I won't have it.

I think it´s dangerous due to the proportional sizes and dosages. My dog used to love getting high on weed. That was it though.

Wasn't trying to put words in your mouth. I know you never said you were forcing it on your cat, I just wanted to stress as much as I could how much of a dick move it would be for a person to do that.

Your cat's likely getting high. I've talked about this recently here on BL-- cats seem to be natural-born stoners, whereas dogs seem to like being around high people and the smell of marijuana without having to deal with excessive amounts of smoke.

You're also having an influence on it's behavior but, bro, if you're having a legit session and your cat's right next to you, yeah, that little feline is getting high as shit.

Yes I remember something about that being brought up as I have a dog and sort of have that related to me.
As for the post you just wrote I believe you must keep a certain distance because of what I had said before regarding proportional sizes and dosages.
The one thing I know for sure it is that smoking cigarretts being harmful and damaging as their small lungs are pretty small.
It is already bad for ours and I´ve read that they too become addicted. But you were referring to another type of smoke as I understand.

Any smoke is bad news for cats'/dogs' nasal passages, airways and ear canals. ANY smoke.

There's a reason we cough when we inhale that shit, and it's not because it makes us healthier.

Yeah man I gaurentee you that theres a reason the cat always likes to be in your room when you smoke :) juss sayin lol

Lots of animals especially mammals have cannabinoid receptors so yes they would and do not do this as they may get vertigo or unpleasant side effects.

I haven't noticed anything different with my dog when I smoke at home, but a friend of mine has a cat that acts really strange when we smoke at her place. The cat walks around in circles around us, and jumps randomly on things. He's usually a very lazy cat that just lies around in the sun all day.

Yes they get high insane as an teenager me and an few friends put an cat in bag and blew into it pot smoke the was high !

One of my friends' brother is an all-day stoner and he has three cats which chill in his house all day. The cats are literally high as fuck just sitting there barely moving for hours. So yes, they most definitely can ;).

My dogs get stoned with me...but by their choice. I never intended to encourage my dogs to enjoy that wonderful scent in the air, but they do. Ever since they were puppies they always come to me when i got that sticky icky. No lie; if I was to bring beasters or mids in the house they would have ZERO interest. My dogs are true pot snobs. When I exhale they try to kiss me to death as the smoke exhales from my lungs. I only allow them 2-3 of those as I agree smoke in my dogs lungs isn't a good thing. But if they choose to hang and get lifted, I don't see the harm.

Now those asshole who stick animals in bags should stick a bag over theirs and tape it air tight. You sick fucks. :X

yet you're blowing hits her way??

In this situation I wouldn't call it abuse, if the cat purposely sits in front of the window when it smells weed it knows its going to get an effect off it,
that being said animals all have a super sense of smell, so blowing directly in their snout would be uncomfortable,
but mice have been shown to develop likings to drugs like cocaine and such in lab environments,

I think its a case of both the cat getting a little baked, having less comprehension so things are extra confusing, and your mood and environment which they feed off,
i know when i was really depressed my dog would just lie beside the couch comforting me with its presence, not being wild, but being calm, for me,

but don't abuse your animals, and certainly not edibles because if you think about their body size in comparison to you unless its like a bull mastiff the dose is going to be humungous for them.

Why the hell would you do that? :( They have feelings, and they have cannabinoid receptors, so of course they can get high. What you did was cruel.

Yeah, I tried blowing smoke in my dog's face a couple times and he REALLY didn't like it. He doesn't like being in my room in general, but after that he wanted to get the fuck out. Needless to say, I'm not gonna force it on him anymore.

Once my lab pup ate a dime of reg I had laying out, and she was wrecked! Walking into walls, running around for no reason, wagging her tail like crazy, stumbling. She was certainly in no condition to drive.

I heard that once an cat or dog gets high that they stay high forever ?
