Megathread The Netflix Mega-thread vs Netflix Originals Suck

Yeah, I was bummed to discover that each season was only comprised of 6 episodes, but to my knowledge there is a third season coming to netflix, so I'm stoked on that.

Watched Pandoras Promise yesterday, and upon finishing it, I was astounded by my lack of knowledge regarding nuclear power. Thought it was a very well done and balanced documentary that reexamines nuclear power in a whole other light.
 
I really liked Carrie, the new one with Chloe grace Moretz. Really good.

Silver Linings Playbook... DUH. if you haven't watched that you are crazy.

Need more suggestions tho

Thank god. I just finished watching the last episode of season 2 last night and am definitely hungry for more. Definitely didn't expect the show to be as good as it is when I started watching.
 
+1 to Peaky Blinders. That was way better than I expected... and I liked Cillian Murphy already.

I just finished watching The Honorable Woman series and I can't recommend it enough.

I watched the first episode, or most of it I think and then haven't really gone back for more. Seemed ok, but didnt really hook me in.
 
Black Mirror



kind of like a futuristic Twilight Zone, one of the more unique shows I've seen in a while and not too many episodes
 
Just got done watching Mud I thought it was really good probably will watch it again tomorrow.
 
Anyone check out the British series "Black Mirror?" Stumbled across it a couple days ago and loved it. There's only 6 episodes currently uploaded but it's like a more modern and edgier version of the Twilight Zone with a focus on the dark side of modern technology.
 
Holy shit GenericMind I just clicked on this thread to post about "Black Mirror"! I spent my day off today watching all six episodes and have to say I loved all of the them. Apparently there is a seventh episode called "White Christmas" that is not on Netflix at the moment. I enjoy the focus on the dark side of technology theme as well as human nature in general. I hope to see a lot more from these writers. Will definitely be watching them again.
 
Yeah I liked it so much I went ahead and google searched to see how it was received in the U.S. and if they'd be releasing more. All indications suggest they will, so we have something to look forward too!
 
Also just finished watching the 3 seasons of The Borgias. Loved it. Tons of scandal, intrigue, sex, violence, etc. I'd definitely recommend it.

It's funny. I watched the documentary and this image within it struck me. Then I searched for an image to represent the documentary for Bluelight and I find the top result is the very same.

Look how the wintering variegation seems to extend its bough of green to touch the water, as if to sap the last light of summer.

Brilliant isn't it, i love Black Mirror
 
I watched Parallels recently. Overall it's a mediocre film that has a decent plot revolving around the theory of a multiverse. After being unimpressed for the majority of the film the ending left me wanting more. I read it was intended as a pilot that might turn into a mini-series.
