This didn't happen to me personally but someone who I have known since I was a kid. He was pulled over in a nicer suburb and the police there have more expensive tools, especially now that Gov. Kasich is really cracking down on prescription abuse. On the back of the package that contains the film there is a barcode-like thing that can be scanned. I think it's called a QR Scanner (not sure) and they even make apps that will scan them.
I guess I worded it a little weird. He didn't see the cop scan it but after claiming that he had done nothing wrong, the cop went back to his own vehicle and then the cop came back and told him that he was able to scan the film packet in his vehicle and figure out who the original script belonged to by contacting the pharmacy and verifying the information from it.
It didn't happen to me so I don't know every single little detail but either way, they can find whatever the information the pharmacy has about the scriptholder.
Do you mean QR Code?
