I think porn is just like any other job, in that you can find people from all walks of life who found their way to that job for all sorts of reasons and have varying levels of love for the work they do. Also like most jobs however, one can identify paths in life, and travelers on those particular paths, that are unusually common in this line of work. Adult entertainment is definitely a 3D job (dirty/degrading, demanding, dangerous), meaning that it's going to attract people who are willing to forgo social status and occupational prestige, and put their health and safety at risk, to earn their livelihoods. Beyond that it's really hard to generalize, but I imagine good looking young people who have little job skills or formal education, who've gotten through life on a bit of charm and an incredibly thick skin for both physical and emotional pain, would be overrepresented in the porn industry.

If I were a single guy, would I date a pornographic actress, if she were the perfect girl for me in every other way? Not if she was still active in the industry. I'd be too afraid it would be a future source of baggage or an impediment to her being sexually intimate with me. But I wouldn't necessarily dump a woman who admitted she'd done some porn in the past, especially if she'd always seen it, and effectively used it, as a financial stepping stone to greater dreams, and wasn't deeply scarred from it. Nowadays there's probably a solid cohort of female white collar workers who did a few nude cam shows back in college to fund their gap year or pay the rent. So long as they're able to come to terms with that choice and integrate the experience, I'd rather a girlfriend be upfront about this, than to stumble upon her "past works" some lonely night.

I don't even think I could do straight porn for any amount of money or even if the woman was a 10.

That's not true at all. It's a myth that people make more money doing gay porn. I know gay and bi men who did gay porn both just pictures of them naked and masturbating, and full out multiple sex videos and they only made $300-$400 for each porn video later put online in clips or released on DVD. The guys that did the solo masturbation scenes made less than that.

This was not amateur porn either it was with well known studios, they were the "stars" of the moment or season, and anyone can do an image search, and easily find out they did porn. Yes they were putos on the side but that was their choice.

These people were living in major cities on the West coast of the United States, and the amount they made doing porn is practically nothing and you can't do porn and expect to live off the earnings of it.

Why is it sad if a woman chooses to do porn?

If women did not do porn, then porn would be largely irrelevant. So you are opposed to the women being sexed for entertainment...well How do you feel about women pleasing herself sexually for entertainment? Or are you opposed to any sexual act a woman performs for entertainment?

Why is that any different than sitting and doing a boring desk job all the time? You're still doing something "unproductive". What SHOULD women be doing "all the time"?
And.... why do you think you can decide what women should do all the time? Why can't each individual woman make her own choice? Why do you have to judge a woman for making her own choice?

Third, unless you have reading of understanding problems, I have no idea how did you come to the conclusion that I said women should work all the time. Because I'm quite sure that's not what I said. There are plenty of ways women could entertain herself, really just Google it cuz it's a big list
