Opioids The Big and Dandy Fentanyl Analogues Thread - Acetylfentanyl / Butyrfentanyl

Both the acetyl & butyryl are both illegal under US law - is this a 'bath salts' situation?

^^

Wikipedia has acetyl fent listed as a schedule 1, but it's not technically scheduled. It does fall under the analog act though, which states that if it is intended for human consumption, it can be treated as a controlled substance analogue. Link There have been a lot of deaths because of acetyl fent (50 overdose deaths in PA alone in 2013), so the government has made a big push to enforce the analogue act against it. That technically goes for any fent analogue. It's a very gray kind of law.. as for research purposes, the analogs are legal.. but if they prove it is being used or intended to be used for human consumption, it then becomes illegal in the same way regular fentanyl is, or like any scheduled drug. So, it's then about proving the intent for human consumption.

Yeah, I was just hoping he would go onto a long quest into DOJ/DEA's scheduling list before coming to that conclusion. ;)

As a non-American (meaning I live outside of the greatest country of the world opposed to living inside of it; we are a rare kind, but we do exist), is PA Philadelphia? The news that reached HH were that there was a series of 20 deaths in a town somewhere in the US. If I remember correctly, those all occured within 1 month. Now please don't quote me on this I would have to look up the article. I think the substance was amateurishly cut and being sold as China White (or more likely it was sold to the users as "smack" or "dope" while it actually was what is today referred to as "China White").

So for that number to be representative for the dangers of the actual educated use of the uncut substance with full knowledge of what it is we would need more figures. I think the largest part of people die that way off fentanyl and it's derivates, by receiving badly cut powder without being aware of it containing unevenly distributed fentanyl or fentanyl derivates. Another large chunk commits suicides with it (a very safe and peaceful way to go out) and a relatively small percentage accidentally od's despite knowing what and how much they are injecting, since it's much easier to mess up the dosage when it almost looks like the same amount even if you double or triple the dose. Too bad we will never see numbers on this.

Whichever way you look at it, when fentanyl enters the scene or a circle of users, there will be blood. It seems that this also goes for this comparably weak derivate (acetylfentanyl).

It appears when unknown as you mentioned, and even when you know exactly what you have.

Hey, you got close with the largest city in PA ;)
Oh god how embarassing. I actually do know Philadelphia is not a state lol. I wouldn't have known it's in Pennsylvania though, that was just coincidence or my subconscious writing.

Don't feel bad. If I walked around my city in public and asked where the "State Philadelphia" is located, 80% of people would tell me in the North-East without a second thought. I swear, they're that oblivious. THEY HAVE LIVED HERE ALL THEIR LIVES!

Hell, when Russia invaded Georgia, half the people here thought we were under attack.

Oh god, that made me laugh so hard.

With acryl-fentanyl and 4f- BF in the mix its getting "interesting". I learned my lesson with these. Just spectating at this point.

4F-BF seems to be less potent than B-F, dosage is between A-F and B-F

I presume all Fent Analogues are illegal in the UK and U.S. I know the Analogue Act in the States covers a massive range of chemicals, both available and hypothetical, but the laws are a little more specific in England; I am honesty only aware of the blanket ban on Fentanyl and derivatives and the Cathinone legislation. Though I'm sure some isomers sneak past both.

speaking of overdoses I do know that you can get a prescription naltrexone nasal spray. they are giving then out to people at my methadone programs as long as you take a class that tells you how to use it. I would urge anybody that is worried about overdosing on fentanyl analog to get them as they are covered by insurance and I'm sure can be obtained easily.
now that that's out of the way I have a question regarding butyr fent. does anybody know the stability of this does the does the potency start to fall after a period of time or is it relatively stable in the dark at room temperature if left in the dark. also is it normal for it to have a chemical aroma? not super strong smelling but a little like as acetone. would appreciate the feedback thank you all

You are talking about the USA there, right? There is no such product available in Germany afaik, but there are plans to introduce one. Those who are concerned enough could actually go through the trouble of making their own spray, since naloxone is available in other forms everywhere.

Unfortunately even here it is only available some places. Some states with needle exchange programs offer it for free, yet my state does not. It would be a nice thing to have. Naloxone is not available in an easy source. I should be able to walk to a pharmacy and buy an auto-injector or a nasal spray if I ask the pharmacist, but I can't.

Just saw that. Looks like NYC is paying 1.1million$ to equip and train police on naloxone autoinjectors.

^^

Yeah more and more states are rattling around legislature to make naloxone more available. Which they all should. It's a great drug and it has saved a lot of people.
