4-FA is neurotoxic because of the unrestrained release of serotonin and by inhibiting the natural intracellular processes of neurons (i.e. reuptake inhibition) .

Ah well i thought it was you extreme harm beyond other drugs type of toxic, it puts my mind at ease knowing its less than ones ive abused for many years previous.

um, well 4-fa is MAINLY a stimulant tho right? meaning its mostly dopamine? if not release what is it, as an amphetamine it thought it would be a relesaer rather than a dari?

hmm, just reading the wiki and it does indeed say its a dari not a releaser if im to take it at its word. ive had a great time with daris in terms of light body load and the like- mdpv (leaving out the mental blitzkrieg , speaking only of body load)/mdppp (coke minus the serotonin bit).

This does indeed raise its status now in my eyes as i was slightly apprehensive of a dirty amphetmine comedown despite ppls shining reviews of its light body load but it stands to reaosn now given it being a dari form what ive read and experienced in the past.

You guys need to check your facts and figures.

4-fluoroamphetamine is a serotonin/norepinephrine/dopamine releaser (it's an amphetamine) and should be no more neurotoxic than plain old amphetamine.

Perhaps you should refer to this table of affinities?
 
Toxic means it damaged your body. Medications or drugs has a therapeutic value. The closer the the therapeutic value and lethal value is the more dangerous the drug is. Most drugs have a wide theraputic index like Advil, Tylenol, hydrocodone, vitamins, other drugs I just can thing of many right now. But then you have drugs like warfarin, digoxin, lithium, and vacamycin that can be toxic at low levels. Does this answer your question?

Hmm well amphetamine felt the most fucking toxic thing ive ever taken if thats anything to go on (but at least its had a long history of use so it would be kinda reassuring if 4-fa is pretty much in line with that in terms of risks)...however ppl are saying there is hardly any comedown on 4-fa...what could be the explanation for this compared to the monstrous comedown of amphetamine? I thought that dopamine releasers were almost inevitably gonna blow you out similar to serotonin releasers- i read one of the bigboys on here saying how bad dopa releasers are compared to daris.

So long as i know its abour as safe as amphetamine and as long as i know it definately doesnt have the comedown of amphetamine as msot ppl are saying that would satisfy me to take it- altho i would still like to know why this lesser comedown could be the case since ppl are saying effect parallel amphetamine if not top it. I certainly wouldnt want it to be a false assertion because i dont know if my fragile mind could withstand another amphetmine comedown :S

Ive read reports tho of ppl with apparently equal weak dispositions saying its their new DOC due to its mild/almost non existent after effects.

Also I thought some of the worries ppl were tlkaign about were cos of the flouro part or is that a non issue?

See I have had salty 4-fa Once the first time I messed with this. It was give or take not compareable to this most recent incident. Basically the first salty batch I had lasted a LONG time, was stimulating like an adderall but more sedating in the 30mg range.

This more recent salty 4-FA was smaller grains not fine by any means and not White at All. It had a clear hue almost milky I would say. I dumped 90mgs out. After consuming and not going anywhere I knew something was horribly wrong. I tried to turn some music on to pass this by praying for my safety and health. I got a wave that hit around 40 minutes later and it felt extremely weird.

I then got very clammy and then thought I was on a verge of passing out. I was NOT stimulated. It happened to me in a similar experience of too much caffiene but this kept going. Each wave of discomfort made me get up because I thought I was done for. I had someone come over literally almost in tears trying to talk but in utter panic. I ended up taking a Xanax and thinking I gave myself an anxiety attack. These waves were not relaxing by any means or stimulating. I had read several extremely positive reviews from this vendor and the thing was I just was testing for quality. I do not know why this happened but I do not know about this research scene any more.

Afterwards these graons I smashed into some gross smelling powder. Very foul. When I reported this I got nothing but attitude and I was just seriously worried. The shadiest experience from a vendor Ever. If anyone has experienced this please post for harm reduction. I had fluffy very clumpy 4-fa and it was par if not way better than meth but this has scared me. Also noteworthy was at the end I felt disconnected Completely! I had no stimulation but for 30 minutes And it still felt weird. By the time my help arrived I was heaving and sweating Badly.

Please be warned. The rc community has gone to shit. This vendor had very good reviews but I had my doubts. I did notice the taste was Hardly bitter and not sour tasting. It actually barely had a taste. Just fucking find a legit vendor do not assume your getting what everyone else is getting. That's my story.

I just received a batch of beige kind of 4-fa. I took a testdose on 90 mg and felt nothing, and my friend tried his normal dose at 135mg. He claimed that no real effect ever kicked in, and that he felt as if he was constantly on the comedown. Stupid as I was one evening i took 300mg and got the equal effect to a 100mg of pure 4-fa, without as much empathy. I wrote the vendor (who has been in the business for a looong time and always had pure methylone etc.) that I was unsatisfied with the product and worried about what it was. He promised to send me some of an older batch which is supposed to be pure and white (the only other batch I ever tried). The methylone from said guy seemed worse than normal. I had a very low peak on 200mg. No eyewobbles or anything. What the fuck is going on? If things don't start clearing up I will stop visiting RC's. The only upside to them was the fact that you usually knew what you where getting. Now buying streetdrugs seem almost as reliable as buying of the internet.
 
Just be warned of my report. This was from someone who was very well spoken for. It was very scary. I have never been scared like that in my life but almost passing out thinking I was going to die has made me believe Fuck the RC scene. You might as well seriously eat some pipers and yes I am serious a dirty e pill wasnt as horrible as this. Nothing will beat the horrible feeling that this shit delivered. Just be careful people. Clearly I did something stupid but I almost wound up calling 911. Dont fuck with this one for awhile is just my two cents.

This should have been a big indicator as 4-FA is known for its nasty taste.

that looks like the shit garbage I recieved but the grains appear to be Whiter in your picture mine were a pearly color. it could be the same batch. I just read a topic about more than a few people getting Sick from 4-fa recieved and this doesnt even seem right. I meant to comment on this last night. Yuck.
 
Considering amphetamines generally, I've heard these are quite non-neurotoxic if used in low doses or occassionally (meaning: not 5-day i'm-so-addicted binges). Amirite?
 
Discussion on 4-FA's toxicity merged into the 4-FA megathread. More beneficial to have this discussion documented here for accessability.
 
Everybody that received a bad batch should write the vendors they got it from and tell them that it is NOT okay. I did this and received an excuse and some good old 4-fa. Hopefully, if people show that they care about quality, the vendors will start putting a greater effort into providing it.
