Film What's the Last Film You Saw? v. Tell Us What You Thought!

The film had less of a plot than Fargo (says something) and there was endless, senseless violence. I don't enjoy that in films. I don't watch gore porn horror from the 2000s. I know lots of folks who like No Country and I always ask, "Why?" because I'm still struggling to understand why anyone liked it. Inside Llewelyn Davis was better and that was a fuckin' bummer of a Coen brothers film.

Just my opinion. Obviously many people disagree with me (somehow the Saw series made it big).
im a big horror fan but never got into saw,
im not into torture flix but i like tgis one part doc part experiment torture

No sorry I don't agree with your personal assessment of Fargo and No Country. Saw, absolutely. But that's what makes films so great. Many people can see a film and each take away a different experience. I know many people who are fans of The Sopranos because they like mob movies. The entire idea of the mob and the lifestyle. I know others like myself who love it because of the the psychology of the entire series and each character. I met others who despise the series because of the violence and even stated a mob show is something they would never watch. It really can just be about the personal experience. I think The Wire was one of the best shows on television. Many agree and many disagree.

To be fair, the first saw movie Was an amazing thriller with a solid Twist
The first one was definitely tolerable. The introduction to a sick twisted game. I couldn't get into the second and when I watched a small portion of the one with the girl (without giving to much away) I was done.

i deff like fargo, and no country, big lamboski to, first time i watched it i didnt get it, but movies funny AF, well all 3 are kinds funny

I absolutely LOVED this movie. (The trailer is lame)

At first I thought it was going to suck. It's made entirely by one guy on a $175 budget. I gave it a chance, and I'm so glad I did.

This is not your average zombie movie, it looks at the genre from a fresh new perspective.

It has an extremely dreamy/ethereal/trippy vibe to it. The sound design, lighting, colors, camera angles, the near constant ambient music and everything add up to make it feel like a dream. Super heady. I especially loved the sound design, very trippy.

The main character doesn't speak a word throughout the entire movie. In fact there is barely any dialogue at all. This gets explained later in the movie. I don't want to spoil it. They drop several hints, and it leaves you guessing then blows your mind.

It's on Amazon but I'm sure you can find it other places.

It's more of a unique psychological horror than a pure zombie movie. Really enjoyed this movie and fun to watch high.

Cannot recommend this movie enough.

I never 'saw' it lol but it's such a trope from my teen years that I know all the plots/twists.

It was a miscommunication that I didn't like Fargo; I own the dvd and watched it just last week. Somehow the plotlessness was charming there, yet lacking in No Country. And I love many other Coen films; Big Lebowski, O' Brother Where Are't Thou, A Serious Man. Inside Llewelyn Davis was actually good it was just a bummer of a flick. There's still many of their films I need to see but I'd rate Hail! Caesar as probably the least enjoyable, followed by No Country. That's just, like... my opinion on it though

A thousand junkies....

unique film... 3 junkies try to score yet everything goes wrong...

I love it, hated it, and wished it didn't apply to my life so much, it's both funny and dark at the same time, mixing between junkie humor and real life dark situations revolving around drug addicts. It's dark humor for career drug addicts. I can relate to this movie sooooo much, including the annoying funny characters they introduce. It's like fuck man.... THIS WAS MY LIFE!!!! so unique for a drug movie

Specifically the scene where they try to steal a few CDs to sell for drug money... I was like... this is too much... too realistic... fuck man....

This movie gave me some uncomfortable memories of myself doing literally the same shit they do in the movie.... I can say at several points of the movie "I DID THE SAME SHIT!!! LOL!!!" but it's not really a funny movie.... but it is.

This movie is all about the annoying dark shenanigans junkies get into.... whatever they need to do to get high....

It's a slice of life featuring 3 junkies doing whatever to score some heroin and EVERYTHING goes wrong along the way. I can relate so much, and at times I wish I didn't.

This movie triggered the fuck out of me, so be warned.....

Great movie tho, and funny.... if you're a druggie/junkie

other people wouldn't understand this movie

and the scene where he loses a 40 piece in the car.... LOL..... same scene in my real fucking life played out

good movie for junkies

dam thats cheep, i think he directed the lighthouse that i still need to see
Yeah. As a non-traditional horror fan (most of the films you and schizo discuss I would never watch) I loved The Lighthouse. But recent horror has definitely taken a new direction. Midsomer was another good example. Or A Field in England. I thoroughly enjoyed The Witch as well of course.

What sets these films apart is the lack (thank God) of focusing on the gore aspect of horror. I like to be frightened by my mind, not by imagery, so by and large horror films didn't work for me till the 2010s came along and non-gore-centric films started to become more common.

So Ghost Rider 2.... Such a stupid but enjoyable movie. 3.5/5 for the hell of it.
