Vaporising Alcohol

I honestly can't understand why anyone would want to get drunk faster? Alcohol is a social drug, and it is the act of drinking that is the social part, not being drunk. I've spent about 17 years drinking so I now have enough tolerance that I can spend a whole night drinking with friends, and not fall over after an hour or so. Why would I want to get rid of that?
