then i need the xan's too calm down. then i sleep too much, then not enough. whaat.

i had such a stable life with just the opioids.

i want to be able to take one every now and then and when i want to.

i still don't really take a pharma every day though, now.

Crap! You’re right. I meant to say teaspoon. A tablespoon is way too much.
Sorry
The nice thing about Kratom is that the only thing that will happen to you if you take too much is you will throw up. At high doses it can hit like a Xanax and put you to sleep. But an overdose just means puking. That gets the undigested parts out of your stomach and then you just sleep it off.

Nobody who ever had a problem could ever go back and “take one” when they want to. That is how the ride starts over again. Better known as a relapse.

Yep that was me, last summer. "Just this once I just can't handle this right now". Then a month later, again. A week later, again, then I'm buying some sometimes, waiting the rest of the week. Then every few days, every other day. Then got some bupe to "take a few times to get past it". Did that til it was gone. Now I'm using really low doses of kratom to ride the lingering w/d out and gonna jump off that. Of course now I'm craving again so that sucks. 6 years of opiate sobriety with no cravings. Just one time is all it took. Let it be a lesson to you all.

I want so much to get my prescription filled and just have it there for when I need it. I do it with benzos, alcohol, but not opiates. I have stopped before, and at one time I have stocked up hundreds of pills. But now I just keep thinking about the relief that comes. Partly just because my body hurts non stop, but partly I know because I’m psychologically dependent on whatever they do to me. I’m trying now to psyche myself up for a life of just enduring my pains without help from pills.
So far it ain’t working so great.

Two days till I get my script filled. I have been out for three weeks as of today.
Funny thing is this: As I have started using more and more because my tolerance is so crazy high, what’s happening is I’m using it for less and less time. That’s been happening for a year now. This month I used my oxycodone for a week, then three weeks with zero. My physical dependence on oxy is the lowest it has been in years(even though my tolerance remains very high). The irony is that as I overuse my pills I am becoming less dependent on them. I have seen the progress I’m making , although unintentionally, and my overall life is better now. Just have to live with chronic pain. I wish I could just retire and relax at home for a few years.
I just need to stop for a while. I wish I could be honest with my doctor. But if I tell the truth I’ll NEVER get this prescription back. Total catch 22.

I do not know how but I have a feeling this is going to work out @Squeaky
I like what you are saying.

I have found that with my brain injury that I cannot think straight without the morphine.
I also think it has caused permanent new pathways to form in my brain due to using the morphine for so long.

I am finding that less morphine and some Kratom together is working well for me.
I have just been trying that for 2 days now, so I will let you know how that goes but so far so good. 👍

I really just need to get back on track of using the prescribed amount daily.
It is nice to know I can use this Kratom for flare ups.
That way I do not run out or run myself short on my prescription.

Hi @Squeaky, Me waving. ; )

I agree with @Painful One that eventually things will work out and fall into place. I also think it's really great that you are so self aware. You're not in denial and you are always striving to do better.

Try to be proud of those things, I think you're doing a great job. As someone with chronic pain as well, I know how difficult things are.

Nice to speak with you again, I have had a lot going on lately, I really missed you guys and I am going to try to come back on here more.
I don't have any other chronic pain patient friends IRL, no one that understands the war on pain patients or the stigma attached to our medication. Plus just the day to day bs that is our lives from chronic pain.

Phew I'm exhausted. Lol.

I will try not to be such a stranger in the future.

Take care,

your friend,
Ash.

Hi Ash. It’s nice to hear from you again.
I heard a scientist talking about things like peyote and marijuana. He called it “The war on vegetables”. Made me laugh.

This war on opiates us such crap! More people die from tobacco, or alcohol. Even McDonalds is responsible for more deaths than our pills. But it has come to this-
I know a 60 year old man who had his wisdom teeth pulled recently. The dentist had to break them into pieces and dig them out of his jaw. All 4 of them.
He was sent home with Ibuprofen and told it would be all he would need. It is complete bullshit! I saw him two days after. He hadn’t slept for two nights straight because of the pain and still the dr refused anything stronger.
That was the closest I have ever seen a grown man come to crying. He said if he had known how bad it would be he would have just let the teeth rot in place. And I’m hearing stories like that from everyone. Lucky for him I was able to share some of mine. Just to get him through the next couple of days.
Maybe I’ll get my script filled and become the Robin Hood of oxycodone. Just prance around giving it away to those who are getting screwed by public opinion.

Lots of people are using Kratom for pain relief. I know several people with pretty serious problems including arthritis, bone-on-bone knees, cancer...... all getting amazing relief from Kratom. Just beware it raises your tolerance for other opiates. My hope is to stay on Kratom only for a few months. Hopefully stockpile some oxy for the future when I might really need it.
You should do some research about the FDA and the laws they’re trying to implement to restrict Kratom. There’s a couple of online petitions going around, hoping to stop those bastards from criminalizing it like heroin.

I tried the Kratom and it does work pretty dang good!
(today was my first try with some high quality powder. It is much more effective than the crap few capsules I got from a head shop)

You guys would have laughed your ass’s off watching me try to figure out how to get it down the hatch.
OMG! That stuff tastes and smells horrible.
First I tried making a sludge tea. Lol!
I had to just dump that down the toilet.
I finally ended up emptying some cannabis oil capsules into some spearmint tea and refilled the capsules with the Kratom.
I then drank the cannabis oil / spearmint tea. 😁

I am feeling a whole lot better now!

It is so great to see you @EPL1
I missed you Ash!
I hope you are getting by with your chronic pain somehow.
It just sucks that we have to resort to this kind of stuff!
If my doctor would just give me 10 more pills a month, I would be fine.
I am lucky and thankful that is all I would really need.
(If I was prescribed enough medication I think I could actually be a functioning member of society again)

@Squeaky - some advise please on methods of swallowing that stuff.

Wow!
I underestimated the strength of this high quality Kratom.

I am so high right now.
OMG!
LOLlllllll!!!

That powder is disgusting though!
I would hate to have to swallow a bunch of that daily.
That is a good deterrent for me to only use when absolutely needed.

It tastes like dried powdered baby poop. If you can’t stand the ‘swish n swallow’ method (that’s what I do and I have thrown up several times), mix it with a few ounces of orange juice or buy the empty capsules online. I’m taking about 6 grams at a time and it’s really difficult to swallow. If you look for the cinnamon challenge on YouTube..... it’s exactly the same. Onset is faster if you take only the powder, and it’s effective even if you eat 30 minutes prior.
Nice thing is it lasts for several hours.

Swish and swallow- I will give that a try.
I mixed it with some fruit punch and drank it down. Most of it was at the bottom of the glass though! UGH!
I had to do it twice.
Thank you @ Squeaky
That did help.

It is just like the Cinnamon challenge lol!
It does not mix with liquid easily.

I sure am grateful to have some of this.
It really does help.
I am finding it is synergistic with my MS Contin and allows me to take a lower dosage of my MS Contin without major pain.

The Botox injections turned out horrific for me.
I had bad, bad side effects.
These last two months have been torture.

I hope you guys are doing good.
Love you all!
❤

I started an exercise program yesterday!

I actually have excess energy to exercise guys!👍👍👍

I need to get my body back in shape.

The gabapentin added to the MS Contin and clonazepam (night) has really shaped up my sleep, mood, energy level, comcentration and coordination levels also.
I am feeling like my old self at times!
I am doing WAY more during the day and not falling asleep as soon as the sun sets.

I am just praying that my pain doctor will be okay with prescribing me the gabapentin along with my other medication or I am going to have to taper off the gabapentin.
I think he will be okay with it.
i did tell him about the specialist I had seen and that he had put me on gabapentin and I had the Botox injections.
he said he wanted me to keep the dose low on gabapentin but was alright with it.
He wrote me my other prescriptions last time.
I do not ever want to go back to that specialist. He did help with the insight into my sleep problem and with the gabapentin.
He fucked me up with Botox and vitamin D.
plus he is insisting on I have to stop clonazepam and MS Contin or no more gabapentin.
That just is not going to happen. I need those to manage the pain and severe migraine headaches.
