I just can't believe for one second that some old guy on a cloud made the world and had a mortal son and sent him to earth to tell us all that Bible stuff and let him be tortured and then killed and part of all this tells us without a show of proof that if we don't believe in him and love him well forever be tortured in hell.not to mention all the other flaws with this belief system: like on the 3rd day he created the sun and the moon,how could there be day or night before the sun was around or the kill a lamb and smear it's blood on your door to keep spirits away(sounds like the sort of thing a schizophrenic off there meds came up with)or the not eating pork or the apple off the tree in the garden of Eden or the fish on Fridays thing (if u r a god that just created a planet with life do you really give a shit bout the little shit like what ppl eat on what day?) or the unfairness of keeping slaves (conveniently not deemed cruel or unfair at the time) or the being born a sinner before your even aware of right or wrong (so you'll feel bad and be deemed indebted whether you did anything bad or not) or how do u explain a bunch of cunts in the middle East/Egypt area being named mary or Peter or Paul? How do u explain all the different races of ppl or the dinosaurs or the fact that we found fossils and have DNA evidence that show some totally different animals have evolved from a common ancestor? (Like humans and primates being so similar).Believing in any of that religious shit or ghosts or demons or heaven or hell just isn't possible with my brain.its a file format not supported by the operating system in my head and never has been.im a man of science who beleives in facts and i have different theories about all that spiritual stuff none of which I believe or give more validity to than any other possible theory except I give less credit to the "god" theory than the others bcoz I think its a silly joke and when it's not being a silly joke it's being a spiritual extortionist for financial gain or control.

if u beleive in demons or ghosts or god or whatever u might as well beleive in the Easter bunny,tooth fairy and santa and if u beleive in demons then how come no one's ever died from a demon attack? I assume being demons they want to kill ppl and if they existed at some point they would have succeeded at some point.i get that some ppl need to think that there's some nice place to end up when you die as opposed to the unpleasantness of facing everything just goes black and you decompose but like how we tell kids about Santa and the Easter bunny beleif in God is just some tool we use to control ppl or distract the mind from the fact we are just insignificant drops in the ocean on a rock flying thru space.

I do not favor that live and let live attitude on issues where a beliefs does harm to others. It is not the loving thing to do to them or their victims.

Proverbs 3:12 For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

Better than 70& of all of us start our moral thinking with the Golden Rule. What is your first moral tenet if not that?

Let me add a bit of my thinking, to hopefully give you pause.

Insert gays and women harmed by homophobic and misogynous religions to this quote. You should get an idea of what you should be doing with the homophobic and misogynous mainstream religions if you live by the golden rule.

Please get back to me with your conclusion.

I still think if people have a religion that helps them in some way shap or form function better, regardless of how fucked up their beliefs, that's fine with me.

People are going to believe what they want. It's not my job to change that.

Imagine if no one had ever corrected poor thinking for each other. We would still be living in caves and trees.

I am sure that you have women and gays in your family tree. If you cannot even try to empathise with their oppression and denial of their full and equal citizenship thanks to the poor thinking of the religious, then you are a part of the problem. IMO of course.

Maybe it is an empathy problem, who knows.

I can see how we'd not want people to bash gay people, but i'm not on some crusade, trying to "fix" what I think is "right".

It is not a matter of what is right so much as a matter of what is wrong with the people that would cause harm to you and yours and your not caring enough about them to even try to protect them.

I hope you are without children as you would not likely lift a finger to stop their abuse if they were gays or women.

Let's end here as I do not want to abuse or insult you pointlessly. If your mind is closed on this, I obviously cannot open it.

I mentioned IMO.

If you allow them to grow up in a homophobic and misogynous environments, while knowing the harm that is bound to befall them without lifting a finger and ignoring the harm they will face, you are not fit to have them.

Don't get mad. Get even, by showing why I am wrong and your foul attitude is right.

That of tuck your immoral tail and run and hide in shame.

As to my views, I am an open book. Choose a page if something strikes you as odd and I will walk you through the logic and reason I use to get to my conclusions.

I focus on morals so I especially like to show the immoral thinkers here what they should be thinking like.

Remember that they threatened to stone Jesus more than once and finally killed him for doing what I and my Christ consciousness are doing.

Jesus was hard to take and so am I.

I am atheist use to be agnostic some ppl are obsessed with religion / spiritual believes... I am obsessed with death I don't want to die at the moment but I can't wait to experience it i use to romanticize about scuicide... I think I might have posted this b4 but I believe every religion is wrong no one knows 4 sure what's going to happen I believe it's i comprehensible

Right here. Never ever believed. I remember when you HAD to go to Church to get into a Catholic school (my parents consider themselves Catholic though they NEVER go to Church or pray or mention God ever) so I started going when I was like 7 and I remember the ridiculous fairytails the priest was telling and being really wide-eyed and shocked and looking around thinking "these people are fucking insane!"

I'll change my mind if there's ever even a small but of evidence. I mean, there's no logic, evidence or proof that any of it is true. There's not anything to even suggest anything is real there, except from an old book that has been re-written, reworded and changed so much over the centuries it is almost nothing like it's origin at all.
If there is a God/Deity/Whatever, why did they let me get raped on my 13th birthday when I was a very innocent and naive kid. I may be an awful person and deserve things like that now, but I had done NOTHING wrong as a kid. Adults always described me as very good-natured and honest.
When we did the yearbook people had to say the biggest positive about you and the biggest negative. A guy came to me from the group and said "[insert name here], nobody has a bad word to say about you, what do YOU think we should put"?
I didn't deserve any of the shit that happened to me as a kid. If God or a deity does exist they're an asshole and have a lot of explaining to do when I die.
