Melb - BIG DAY OUT '05 - REVIEWS - 30/01/05

Is there a BL meetup goin on during the day at all? I'll be there and wouldn't mind catchin up with a few of you fuckers who i seem to have missed in my last few visits down....

Meanwhile in other news, i think i'm gonna try and catch Carl Cox seperate show the night before....

That Friday night is Red Eyes/Concord Dawn @ Banana Alley Vaults too... Nina Ferro Quintet Saturday night (Melb Summer in the Parks).

Rainbow serpent weekend before too... deaaattthhhh to Gennnnnn

i will be there just got my ticket the other day so msg me for a meetup... other wise i think i will be going out in the city on the sat night, ill be in contact with tnargus and kid_cisco to see what they are up to...

i shall be in attendance......line-up is tasteful enough for my liking, looking forward to chemical brothers, beasty boys, coxy, scribe, freestylers, the streets, the music, dj bexta, let's just hope the weather is decent :)
 
meetup?

So people, are we going to have some sort of meetup. Having never been to a BDO before, i have NFI where anything is or a good meet up place. All i can suggest is that occurs early afternoon, due to the more choice acts being on in the evening.

If we dont get any sort of meetup organised, but anyone still wants to catch up with moi, and FlyAfterMe, PM me, and I'll give you my mobile and we can arrange something.

come on man - its like one week away. you had ample time compared to sydney or gold coast which sold out really early :\
 
i got my ticket months ago, it's my girlfriend that was too disorganised to get a ticket. She bought one today of ebay for an exorbitant sum.
 
last BDO i found it easier to just catch up with people who's numbers i had. mainly cause the sites so huge and theres so many different acts on.

no one and i mean NO ONE is taking me away from Cut Copy, Powderfinger, John Butler, cant remember the rest...

i may have to sit the meet out anyways, mainly cause myself and harraser are escorting his younger brother there this year and hes not old enough and shouldnt know bout this sort of stuff.

so if anyone does want to catch up during the day just drop me a pm or something, or i may dash away from them and say hi.
 
hello all,virgin poster on this site so b kind.
really looking forward to the bdo, waited 12 months for sunday so I am ready to move and groove with the rest of u party demons.
my 2nd BDO (04 my first) and at first was a bit disspaointed with the lineup but after chatting to few people I am getting excited, last year was spent around the main stage catching the darkness, BEP, dandy warhols, muse, =D and metallica but this year I will b at the boiler room from about 5.30. wow what a lineup from that time, BEXTA, FREESTYLERS, CARL COX, AND THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS. word from the gold coast BDO is that the chemical bros performance was mindblowing so I look forward on getting blownaway with the rest of yez.=D
also wondering if the police plan sniffer dogs for melbournes BDO?
 
Missed my tickets by one day :( And I think I'm getting too old for the fence jumping rountine.
 
You could try bribibg a security guard at one of the service entries. I know some people that did this a few years ago - the 4 of them put in $50 each and the security guard got $200 to let them in. Might be worth a try.

I for one am looking forward to this event. Not ecause of the line up but theres so much to see and do there =D
 
MELBOURNE BIG DAY OUT SOLD OUT–PROMOTERS RELEASE 1000 DOOR TICKETS FOR SALE ON FRIDAY

With presale tickets to the MELBOURNE Big Day Out completely sold out, the promoters are happy to announce that a limited number of door sale tickets will be made available for purchase on Friday morning on a first come first served basis.

The 1000 door tickets will be released for purchase from The Athenaeum Theatre Ticketmaster outlet, Collins St Melbourne from 9am on Friday 28th January. The tickets will cost $120 inclusive and will be available for CASH purchase only until sold out.

These tickets, which are normally reserved for show day sales have been released in an effort to give audience members who have missed out a last opportunity to attend the event whilst minimising opportunities for scalping.
