Rue is catching feelings. I don't think Jules will reciprocate any feelings if she's strictly into men. That whole thing can be confusing, not even gonna lie. Jules is really pretty so if I were with someone like that, it would be the best of both worlds (if the penis is still intact).

As others mentioned, Nate is the douchebag jock. He's on the gay dating site Jules is on and is making her fall for him. He lied and told her his name is Tyler. Nate definitely knows he's talking to Jules because she even sent him tasteful nudes. Jules doesn't know she's actually talking to Nate though. That's what's scary about the situation. He said he wants to meet in person at the lake after the carnival. Rue was right to tell Jules that sounds dangerous. We'll have to see what happens...

It would do right now to have someone, regardless of gender, as I am on the verge of isolating myself badly again. sometimes I enjoy loneliness too much and I get into a point where it depresses me unconsciously. but that's for another thread.

When Nate went after the swimming pool guy that got with Maddy, it showed his psychopathic issues and jealousy hangups. I think there's plenty more where that came from and it's a little unsettling, which is where Tyler comes in.

They might just be scratching the surface with Nate's darker issues and his need for unrelenting payback for any sleight against him. His dad Cal is already creepy and he raised quite the son.

Yes, the motel scene ties into Grindr. Jules found that guy on there and it happens to be Nate's dad. Creepy indeed. He gave Jules violent anal, I'm surprised she's able to walk. It looked incredibly painful.

When Nate first appeared at the guy's house who fucked Maddie in the pool, I was kinda thinking he wanted to have sex with the guy. It was really hard to watch Nate beat on him like that, especially since he's innocent. Poor guy. After that, Nate questioned Maddie again "Are you sure you were blacked out?" I think he knows she's lying. Guys need to be careful who they hook up with. She might be involved with a psycho and get you all fucked up or killed over it. No sex is worth that.

Nate's dad records himself having sex. He has an extensive collection of videos. Nate goes into his dad's office and watches the videos. That's weird, but now I'm wondering if Nate somehow found out his dad hooked up with Jules. Maybe he created that Tyler character and went on the gay dating site to lure Jules for revenge? If it's not revenge for the kitchen incident, then it is absolutely because Jules slept with his dad. That makes me even more afraid for Jules, but there is a part of me still hoping Nate has pure intentions and maybe he's kinda confused about his sexuality.

I'm interested to see how Ali's character develops and I think it's pretty obvious that he's going to become the really cool older mentor to Rue and an important character.

I can see why some people might not like the show (I do), but I think most would have to admit that with there only having been 3 episodes so far they are working pretty hard on character development right?

I mean, that's one of the most important things in television and movies and not everyone does it right and so far this show has a bunch of interesting characters with complexities.

Is the show based on some Israeli show?

Cause I'd DVR'd it the other day and at the end when the credits where running REALLY quickly something said something about it being based or not being based on some Israeli show, but I tried several times to rewind and pause it to read it and it went by so quickly I couldn't and gave up.

My favorite characters (other than Rue) are Fez and the little kid and I know Ali will be a favorite.

Jules is a good character of course but for some reason I'm not quite as intrigued by her but she's gonna be a big part of the show.

Man, that Mouse dealer character was fucking scary in a REALISTIC way.

I mean, since I have never done really hard drugs like H or Meth (never will), and usually know cool trustworthy dealers for the substances I do/have used, I generally haven't ended up in too many sketchy-dealer situations, but I've seen and had minimal interactions with the types with the facial tats who I know through the grapevine sell H and get a little wary of them (that's NOT to say facial tats are a sign someone's a bad person, but COMBINED with knowing they are heroin dealer, yeah, then I start to think they might not give a shit about much and be dangerous....)

That shit with him threatening to rape rue, then forcing her to swallow the fent, putting the patches on her, first asking for $300 and then $600? Scary shit.

I'd have to assume that even most hard drug dealers aren't on that level of scary....but I'm sure plenty are too, especially the ones with gang affiliation.

I mean, that's the other thing the show has going for it: IT"S REAL.

So it's got a lot of aspects of the reality of the dark underworld of drugs, a lot of fun scenes with drug use, and good character development, and is ballsy enough to go where most shows won't with stuff like dick and boob pics....it shows promise.

I bet something will happen with Nate's dad later on in the show with people finding out what he did and some serious conversations between father and son...probably Nate will do something fucked up and his dad, being equally fucked up, will back him, and something serious will go down.

You can tell they are partners in crime.

Overall, loved this episode. The carnival was the perfect setting for all of that drama.

Yes, it made me question my relationships and hookups in the past. Maybe it was a high for me like a drug.

Mashed Potato made me think about that, whatever that guy's name is Rue met up with.

Jules and Rue ended up kissing at the end of the episode, that made me happy. Jules could be a good influence for Rue. She already warned Rue that she doesn't want her fucked up around her. Jules needs to hide her medicine though. Rue took some of her pills before because they were sitting out in the open. They need to be hidden. The temptation to steal drugs will always be there as long as they're visible. That's just the way it is.
