LapDawg you took the words right out of my mouth. The only thing worse than an assembly line hack director like Schumacher trying to be "edgy" was that once again the myth of the "snuff film" was given credence. For the record: there has NEVER, EVER EVER been EVEN ONE proven instance of the existance of a snuff film. For an excellent, detailed & footnoted account of the myth/urban legend of the snuff film go to
http://www.csicop.org. In the seach filed type in "snuff" & you will get the article (its a fascinating & fun read).
What is SO bad about the spread of the snuff film urban legend is that it is used as a tool of the censors. Even though there has NEVER been even one arrest by ANY American law inforcement agency or Interpol related to a snuff film, the "morality police" (ie Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson) in their propaganda use it as a scare tactic & as a reason to ban ALL of what they consider pornography, which in their narrow minds includes films like "The Unbearable Lightness of Being", "Requiem For a Dream" & "The Pillow Book"
