I heard from a friend that its good for pimples and/or acnea. I've used it and it seems to work for FUCKING SURE. Only downside if I had to be yours truly American to the core and complain :) is that it DOES when used in excess dehydrate the parts of the skin applied on. Other than the peeling of the skin off and that's when u don't go out for a week and just put that shit on ur face have a smoke to dry it off and climb back on the couch for a bowl of hash or high grade type of thing. When used in moderation the skin peeling effect is hardly noticable.

What are your experiences with Tea Tree Oil?

You can let the oil dry off and put a moisturizing oil like jojoba. I do remember using it as a teenager, it works well alright.

I use a cotton tip to apply a small amount of tea tree oil to any spots I get. It dries them up very fast and I've always done this, since I was a teenager. :)

Its pretty good for any pimples I have...I leave it on overnight (like a huge, gooey, drop on my zit!) and it pretty much dries it out by the time I wake up.

I put tea tree oil in an aloe based clear gel the drying effect is not the same, it does make your skin feel tighter and reduces swelling but less extreme drying.

the other one to use for acne is lavender oil as it helps with reducing inflammation, but again since it is on your face I would suggest putting it in a base cream or gel.
I normally recommend gel for someones face depending on the type of acne they have, and, depending on the rest of the skin.
I make up soaps with juniper for males and find that is a good one with a little tea tree mixed through, smells more masculine lol.

the good thing about using a gel based solution is it can take its time soaking in over night. Another cheap and simple way is using witch hazel and just wiping over the areas most affected morning and night after you have washed.
Normally though if you have persistent acne I was suggest having an allergy test, or at least trying a more ph neutral soap and shower gel as this could be causing an imbalance and makes it worse for you.

Tea Tree oil never did much for my lesions, but to be fair my skin condition was not acne but a symptom of my autoimmune disease. What did help was CLOVE OIL. That stuff is powerful and also numbs the pain.

I've been using Desert Essence facial scrub for a while now and love it.

It is tea tree oil based and works like a charm.

For the record, I break out in zits occasionally, and have a somewhat oily face. I also live in a very dry, high desert climate.

I think you're on the right track by going organic, definitely easier on oily skin/acne than anything you can buy at Rite Aid.

I am also using a Desert Essence tea tree oil face wash and I've have a lot of success with it. I switched to this after having no luck at all using the "popular store bought products" (Clearasil, proactiv, etc...). My breakouts are much less frequent and I have noticed that my skin will actually clear up at a much faster rate. For example, if I have a nasty looking zit in the morning and I scrub it well with tea tree oil, it is often gone or severely reduced by mid-day.

I use a T tree facial wash when i shave & it's very refreshing. It certainly seemed to help reduce spots when i was a teenager but i rarely get them nowadays.

Shit works for me. I had a cream that listed it as the primary ingredient and it vanished my pimples in 1-2 days. Stuff smelled like oranges...

What are your experiences with Tea Tree Oil?

Slightly dilute it - tea tree oil is a VERY potent essential oil - I've been advised by my herbologist friend not to apply any essential oil (except lavender) undiluted to the skin.

Not much, but just to get the concentration down a little.

It's VERY good for skin ailments of many kinds, from piercings, to spots, to cold sores, and cuts and scrapes (remember - DILUTE!).

If used alongside lavender oil for "normal" spots, or chamomile oil for wounds/infected spots, it is a very good healer of skin condition.

EDIT: Tiggerific is dead right with Witch Hazel - VERY good for spots.

It's been proven to be as effective as benzoyl peroxide, though it may take longer to see results. I found it useful for my mild acne but there was some dryness and irritation. Diluting it with water and following up with a good moisturizer seems to help.

I have used tea tree for pimples for years (at night) and it dries them up quickly.
Better than anything I have ever tried.
