Earthcore - Bulk Fun! (aka The Official Post-Earthcore Thread)

So how would you sum up the Earthcore experience in one word?
Bulk
Just everyone who was there would agree, and if you were there and you don't, then man did you miss out!
I can't even begin to convey how awesome the Earthcore 5 day experience was. I quite seriously had the best time of my life, there has been no event in the 21 years of my life that I have enjoyed more, and I owe it to all the fabulous bluelighters who were there with me.
For the moment I'm just gonna give a general shoutout state by state, but there will be more to come...
Melbourne - The Melbourne Bluelight crew made a poor showing at the start with only MikeySammy, Jerox, THO and I turning up for the convoy (so we were bulk late too, that's not the point! ). But come New Years Eve we were in full showing, ready for some bulk partying as always! Thanks everyone for coming along and being there to party with me once again... A fun time, but when is it not?
Sydney - Thanks to the Swiftyvan crew for making it down to JB's bar the night before (seems like sooo long ago at this point...), hope it wasn't too cold for you down here. 'Twas great to finally be able to put some faces to names, and names to aliases I had a great time with you guys and gals, I could almost believe you were Melbournites (almost, you don't dance as well as we do )
Brisbane - You guys and gals are a right bunch of top horses! Most definately the best group of people I've ever had the pleasure to meet. I'm glad you enjoyed your time down here, and hope your trip back to Brissy in a safe one (Bulk rest/food/water/toilet breaks ok! ). Hope the trailer makes it back in one piece (or should that be the trailer tyres? )
Anytime any of you are down in Melbourne, be sure to drop in, the door is always open for you (even if I have to kick my housemates out >:/)
Ahh Earthcore, not something I'd want to go on forever (I don't think anyone was in total control on Wednesday morning so you all know what I mean ) but certainly something I'll be doing again...
For now that is all I have to say, my brain, and moreso my body needs a lot more rest, so signing off for now...

...And why isn't it in the Meetups forum? Well, there's gonna be a few Earthcore threads once everyone recovers, some non-meetups related, so why not keep them all together in the one forum?
Disclaimer: This was more of a camping trip than a "rave". What I mean by that was that just camping out with a great bunch of people was what it was all about for me... There was some awesome music, but not that much... And the setup wasn't that great... More on this to follow...

i had the best time as well, but couldn't handle the heat very well. the phil k set on nye midnight was awesome. everyone had the biggest grin on their face. the pills that made the round were fucken unreal, and i am still recovering form an 11 hour rushing experience!!! *quiver*..
i agree meeting the brisbane crew was an experience. "chopped", was that it?????
sorry, that i never really got into a real social mood and made an effort to talk to everyone........i feel bad about that! thanks to all you guys to going thorugh the trouble of getting the tent..... and the rubber chicken............mwahahha, and the little vibrating "rocky" form the chicken run! i am still cracking up about that one!

I must say the chill tent was really awesome and lots of effort was made into making it a really comfy one. Really happy to meet everyone there.
You guys really ROCKED!! I didn't really had much time talking to everyone as I was always running ard and doing stuff!!! But I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Met so many many nice, wondeful and weird ppl .... hehehe
I had a great time down at the river too!!!! The water is so refreshing. I'm glad that I spent the last hours of ecore at the river with THO and some ppl that I met down there. Had great conversations and of course had loads of fun in the water.

Raving goes beyond what words can Express!

Just finished writing up a journal of the last week, and there sure was a lot going on during the last few days!
Speaking of journals, HappyCamper had a book that we all scribled bulk assorted crap into, so if any of the Brissy crew have access to a scanner and a program that can convert it all into a PDF, post it! (I want a copy of it and don't wanna havta come up to Brissy everytime I wanna see it... though it'd be a good excuse to travel up there )
There's also gonna be bulk classic photos!
Anyway, while I wait for everyone else to get home and to recover enough to stumble infront of a computer, I just thought I'd say a few thank yous...

Brissy crew: Thanks for transporting the Chill Tent and being an immense help in putting it up.
MikeySammy: Thanks for helping to get assorted things organised, for driving me around at the start, for trying to help get me a lift home and for everything else which I couldn't list all of 'cos it'd take ages
Swifty van crew: Thanks for giving me a lift back to Melbourne, I don't think I coulda handled a bus trip back by myself...
Everyone else: Thanks to those who contributed to the Chill Tent fund. At the end I was $5 short, but once we got the deposit back I ended up being $35 over, so I'm gonna donate that $35 to Bluelight. And thanks for adding what items you could to enhance the atmosphere in the Chill Tent... Those decorations rocked
And a big big Bulk thank you to everyone for making Earthcore the best experience of my life!

Well Earthcore was alot of fun and the chill tent went down a real treat - actually in that sun it was a god send!!

i think bulk is the word to describe it all... bulk fun, bulk company, bulk drugs one of the funnest weeks of my life.
it all starts with a getafix, progresses through smiley's and yonnex's, then bulk G come new years morning. new years day nite saw a well needed brain sleep only to wake up to a plate of goey and more G alllll nite long.
it was soooo sad to leave all you guys on new year's morning, it was like watching my best friends for years depart. but i think we made the right choice to head home and not spend another nite in melbourne.
before anything else i need to spill my undying thankyou to the brissie crew. without you guys i woulda been up the mitchell river without a paddle it wasn't just the tent it was the company, the occasional puff of alaskan salmon and the goodwill. u guys know you have 2 unquestioning slaves in sydney whenever you're down this way. thanks heaps guys couldn't have done it without ya.
to the rest of my sydney crew hope you guys had a safe trip home. big thanks to cosmic and yaytima (u guys know why ) noticed you didn't get rid of many of your flyers there, the box was still full !!! oh yeah and for the watermelon too. to j-swift and nick, you guys cut it sooo sick !!! brotherly team of dancefloor carving styles side-by-side !! awesome, had many sick times with you guys at the main floor, eating dust and to fataliss for making every situation so comfortable to slide in to. can one ever forget finn and bananafish??? you guys saved us on the last morning there, helping us make our decision and leading us halfway there. hope you guys made it home safely, we did be sure i'll be seeing all you guys soon
as much as i was dissapointed in the pre-EC breakfast/convoy/thinghy (4 melb ppl only ), you guys undoubtedly made up for it at the event. although to anyone who wasn't there reading this the melbournites didnt quite put on the show they promised us
thanks heaps to tars and mikey, two of the best ppl you'll ever meet and thanks you guys for making my girl feel so welcome, she's kinda shy by nature but she really liked you guys cheers as well to munke, pink (you're a classic mate , soma for his constant funnies, simkin, and icantfeelmylegs who despite our short meeting is one of my clearest, best memories, cheers again dude for listening and to the 2 BL's who drove out to EC with mikey, i can only remember your names and not your BL nick's, but you guys were great fun, and great dancers.
one of the best new years i've had, and are ever likely to add. can't wait to get my fotos developed, hope i got you all in at one time or another.

Oh yeah, I wanna see them again too! I sure hope that last photo of us turns out well, not that I'd need a photo to remember you... first and foremost, i have to give my all-time biggest THANK YOU to the brisbane crew for making it so far, and for transporting the tent, for setting it up, for bringing soo many supplies for the interior, and then on the last day clearing it out, pulling it down (whilst people such as myself were too wrecked to help at the time), and taking it back to Hazza's in Melbourne, and the whole time being so humble about the whole deal ..
YOU ARE ALL COMPLETE LEGENDS AND I WILL NEVER EVER BE ABLE TO THANK YOU ENOUGH for all the effort you guys put in to make the whole adventure one that i'll never forget.
we owe you big time.

I had the best week up there at earthcore..
the area they held it at wasnt too visually spectacular (and without the river i think i wouldnt have been able to handle it) but that didnt drag it down too much!

anyway .. as i was saying .. when i come up north i'll come with you guys to some party and get going with the shuffling thing and you can show all your friends..

That week was really something special for me. Just being a part of something so big - which it was .. not just cause it was new years and i had so many people to hug and celebrate with .. not just cause we were at a huge festival with thousands of people camping .. but cause i made new friends, had a fuckload of fun, and laughed so much at some points that it hurt ..
