Zyprexa and weight gain

Does Zyprexa cause weight gain in just sbout everyone or does this depend on the person/ From what i have seen invega and abilify almost always cause it. But it might not be so bad because now i am working out and i also know where to buy fat burners like clenbuterol

Over the span of maybe 10 years I gained a little weight while on abilify but when I quit drinking beer and eating ice cream every night and started exercising through martial arts, the weight melted off. Leads me to believe the weight gain was due to my lifestyle more than the medication. I'm also on abilify pills and have never been injected with it. I don't think I gained weight from Risperidone injections.

Like we say all the time, everyone is different and has different side effects. I get my blood checked twice a year to check for diabetes risk from abilify and always come out clean.
 
I was on zyprexa for 10 or 11 months. Out of the common 2nd gens it causes the most metabolic changes and thus weight gain. I gained a few pounds but nothing dramatic, and I was drinking alcohol like a fish and eating junk food.

The weight gain generally manifests due to zyprexa causing increased sugar levels. Changing diet to reduce carbs/sugar and exercising an mitigate any weight gain or even prevent it.
 
So i just got on a scale and i have put on 10lbs since starting zyprexa a month ago. That i can live with and some of its muscle anyway since i started working out again once i started the zyprexa anyway. Hopefully i can stop gaining weight though as i dont want to get fat again

You think it's bad? Risperdal is a killer in that regard. Aside from rather significant weight gain, it can also raise Prolactin levels and can cause some males to develop enlarged breasts. Not only that, it can cause some males to begin to lactate. I have seen it happen.

^ Ya ive been on both risperdal and invega and goddamn they suck bad. I couldnt lose any weight on invega or abilify at all. So far the zyprexa is treating me pretty good
 
So far i am not complaining. I gained 10lbs but lost 5lbs just by switching to diet cola. It didnt take me long to lose weight either and i can expect to gain a few pounds anyway as im back to lifting weights
