Zyban and e

Well....I can tell you that Zyban on it's very own really fucked me up. Never tried it in conjunction with E but based on the way it works it may be similar to doing E while taking Prozac - it affects something in the brain, just like Prozac. What happened to me was this:
1st week - cigarettes tasted terrible so I cut down
2nd week - didn't smoke
3rd & 4th week - horrible, terrible icky mood swings - finally figured out it was the Zyban and within a few days was back to normal (well...as normal as I get that it)
I do know some people who have used Zyban successfully - might have just been my reaction to it....but I wouldn't do E if I were taking anything that affected serontonin or any happy factors...I love it when E does it for me.

(Warning: I am NOT a doctor, so take what I say with a grain of salt)
Zyban is sustained-release bupropion HCL, an antidepressant. Most anti-depressants are either SSRI (Selective Seratonin Reuptake Inhibitors) or MAOI's (MonoAmine Oxidase Inhibitors)
Taking MDMA with an SSRI will most likely result in feeling little or nothing from X, as the SSRI will block the MDMA from entering the 5HT cells. Taking MDMA with a MAOI is VERY dangerous and can result in seratonin syndrome, and possibly death as a result.
Bupropion is a mild SSRI, and also a weak inhibitor in the reuptake of norepinephrine and dopamine. Based solely on this, I would assume it would weaken your your roll slightly, HOWEVER bupropion also carries a very small risk of inducing seizures, theres no way to tell if MDMA will increase this risk.
IMO, I don't think its ever worth mixing MDMA with any other psycoactive compound, so I wouldn't risk it.

When I took zyban alone it really fucked me up for like a month and then I went off it. I would say it's a drug experience all in itself. I probably wouldn't mix, I did once and I didn't get much E-ffects. Peace

I take paxil and I think zyban is very similar to paxil. It does feel like your kinda of on E and it does take some getting used to.But what I found out is that if you take it every day you build a tolerance to E. If i take one hit I will barely feel anything But if i take 2 to 3 pills at one time you will get a normal roll.
good luck,hope i helped

Zyban will have no effect on rolling. Its not related to any SSRI and is in a class of its own. Some people will react with irritability to it others won't. Sleeplessness and fuck-up dreams are normal the first 2 weeks. It wont make you feel like your on any drug, if you have depression, it will make you feel happy and normal. Otherwise expect sleeplessness, really fucked up dreams, possible irritability and constipation.
