I was perscribed 50 mg Zoloft twice a day for my anxiety. With any anti- depressant it takes a days/ weeks to even feel anything. Eventually, I did notice a change; but not what I wanted. I was much much angrier, and my thoughts were completely bonkers. I convinced myself that me and my friend were a higher intelligence. Eventually I drew the line when one day I was reading the columbine shooters journal, and some of the stuff were the EXACT same things I was thinking; that I was a higher power and smarter than everyone, that I was gonna change the world, that kind of thing. the scary part is one of the shooters blamed his part in the mass murder on his medicine, which was Zoloft. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced these crazy thoughts? I now see this drug as evil. It intrigues me, so I want to know If you guys have any experience with Zoloft at all. (Wether you're on it right now or have been on it, and your findings.) thank you

Are you bipolar or manic? Sometimes SSRIs including zoloft can bring out mania in people who are bipolar or manic, and what you're describing with being angry, feeling as though you're a higher power/intelligence, will change the world, etc. can all be signs of someone being manic.

The Columbine shooter just wants something to blame since he's a psychopath/sociopath and made the choice with the other one to murder and kill people. A lot of people take zoloft or have in the past and they do not get the side effects you are describing, or that the Columbine shooter claimed to have had happen to him.

Have you told any of this to the doctor that prescribed the zoloft to you? If not, you definitely should and don't stop taking the medication without the supervision of your doctor or telling him or her first.

Yea, I have some kind of mix between bi polar and multiple personality disorder, they doc said they didn't know what to classify it as. I've since stopped Zoloft but I was just curious if anyone else has experienced these crazy thoughts

OK that's why you had those side effects.

Most people who take zoloft or other SSRIs do not get the side effects you described at all. They become less depressed, less anxious, and if they have OCD or obsessions that becomes less intense for them.
