..Young dad Michael Bishton dies after taking new legal drug Ivory Wave

Here we go again… he died after jumping off a cliff, not from the drug.

What is Ivory Wave anyways?

Ivory wave was a mdpv blend then it got banned then is was nrg1/naphyrone and now its fuck knows, maybe Desoxypipradrol for now until that gets banned.

One way ticket to paranoid delusions after repeated dosing.

The Mirror has article this morning on this 'Ivory Wave' and it's related deaths and incidents. As usual, the big headline 'WORSE THAN MEOW MEOW.' 11-people admitted to West Cumberland hospital in the last week apparently, but the only information given on how much they took was one lad who snorted five packets. Mind you, this paper also says 'Meow was outlawed after being linked to 26 deaths in Britain'. I'm right in saying there was none or one linked in the end?

Man knowingly takes a stimulant and then jumps off a cliff!

This FATHER was KILLED!!!!

BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ

It's hilarious, thankfully more of the public has seen Reefer Madness than last time around. Thanks Reefer Madness!

read that story and just had to shake my head. Don't know how big the packets are, but who the hell snorts five of anything that they don't know what it is....and on top of that, who the hell would snort something labeled 'bath salts'?

Think get them in either 300mg or 500mg packets. Agree with you, utterly insane to have that much of something unknown. Only thing I can fathom is it was a deliberate overdose, or insanely fiendish lol can't understand the mentality of someone who'd do that to themselves otherwise.

or perhaps its a lie?

You can get them in 200mg and 500mg packets and they are surprisingly expensive. Currently there's no official word on what the active ingredient actually is.

I do feel sorry for the guy. Yes, he was stupid. He ingested a chemical and had absolutely no idea what it was. At least with Mephedrone some people knew what they were taking and had some idea of how it might effect them. Ivory Wave is simply described as a "soothing bath salt" (obviously to get around the human consumption law). The active chemical is not listed and the taker therefore has no idea of what they're going to experience, it's like russian roulette. Though its suspected that the active ingredient is "2-diphenylmethylpiperidine" a euphoric stimulant that quickly begins to make the user anxious and paranoid as they re-dose. Loads of teenagers up and down the country who took Mephedrone are desperately seeking a replacement and are shoving god knows what up their noses in an attempt to recreate the now illegal high. Much more damage will come from it being made illegal - but our government is still living in the dark ages - where anything other than alcohol or tobacco is a complete taboo. One day, drugs will be legal and government regulated, but until then, more and more dangerous research chemicals will surface and things like this will continue to happen.

Most would have the sense to research something before they take it. If they don't then that's their own fault (Darwin's theory comes to mind here). If no ingredients are listed then research is pretty much impossible.

What a fucking shit article :X I hate The Sun with every available molecule of hate-ridden-haterade in my body :|

So, he thought he could fly? Or he was paranoid? Or are you talking shit?
Six uniformed and two plain-clothes officers went to the shabby premises in Ryde, Isle of Wight, and led away 32-year-old Joey Annis as a shabby newspaper and their shabby "journalists" watched, in a shabby-looking, shabby-acting manner where they were only just considered conscious and part of the human species - breathing shabbiliy....

.... shabby...

----- Edit -----

Infact I was so irritated by them today that I ended up sending them an email:
Subject: News?

You're not a newspaper.
You don't report news.
You produce mass-hysteria on paper and web-based formats.

You're not news. You're shit.

I hate the way the media uses stories like this – instead of telling people what Ivory Wave is (or should be), how it works, the effects, side effects to look out for and what to do if everything goes wrong.

And try to make us believe it's "made from bath salts and will make you talk to pink, dancing Elephants" :|
