You know you're a drug geek when . . .

You're a regular reader of Microgram (if you don't know what microgram is then GET OUT OF THIS THREAD! :P)

when you refer to drugs by there chemical name and not by there brand name.
ie: hydrocone instead of lortab

when your the one arguing with all your friends about the myth of COKE AND HEROIN in ecstasy pills.

When you want to lecture dealers at raves when they try and tell you pills are "triple stacked" Bah! There's no such fucking thing and the statement means nothing.

when you have a toolbar on your web browser like this

*You know how to pronounce words like psilocybin, tryptamine, and diacetylmorphine.
*You take the spreading of myths about your favorite drugs personally.

To the OP...You really do need to start using the search engine, this has been done before.

My answer to the question. When you can name all the drugs you use by their scientific name I.E pills=methylenedioxymethamphetamine(I prolly got that wrong lol) and when people look at you like wtf? when your talking about drugs.

Basically when you have a shitload more knowledge on drugs than the general drug using community. Usually this isnt a bad thing, but I keep most stuff to myself because I dont like to be seen as a "drug geek" Ive already tried educating my friends with harm reduction but most of them either dont want to know, dont believe me or dont understand so I just keep it to myself unless someone asks me specifically about something.

You know you're a drug geek when you're browser opens up to Bluelight and you mod a forum there.. doh!

I love being a drug geek, better that than some uninformed asshole

When your sick friends buy cold/flu meds... you insist on reading the active ingredients, and provide them with a summary of how effective each will be for treating their symptoms.

My one roommate now takes me with her when she's shopping for meds for this exact reason.

when you lecture your friends on how this particular drug you're all fucked up on gets you that way.

You get personally and deeply offended when some wanker won't listen to a word you say, and continues to insist that his salvia trip lasted over 45 minutes...

When you can give structered scientific reasoning to why every drug myth your friend spits out is false.

When you ask your dealer questions about their products they don't even understand.

When you can correct your doctor about a fact he gave of the drug he's prescribing you.

When somebody asks you what you're on you don't even answer; because you know they wont understand what your talking about.

You get into arguments with your dealer about how there's no such thing as "body buzz" and "visual" acid, the body buzz stuff is just weak, and then get ripped off of 100$ as a result >.<

>>methylenedioxymethamphetamine(I prolly got that wrong lol)>>

No, that's right, just missing some bonding position specifications.

You're a drug nerd when you correct or clarify comments from drug nerds.
