-Quick Q on serotonin syndrome-

I'm on bupe matentience (2mg twice a day, along with .5mg klonopin twice a day),
I just got into college and got scripted adderallxr (20mg once in morning) and been taking it for a week. Sometimes I drink caffeine too,

I read a list that had amphetamines and bupe on the serotonin syndrome list? Any worry about the combo?

Well if you absolutely need the bezo in your life, then continue to take it. But eventually you will have to detox from both, and benzo wd can be more hellish than opiate wd. So you have to ask yourself are you willing to pay the piper's price? Both are known to cause ss, but the percentages are low.

Are you sure?
As far as I know buprenorphine only acts on the opioid receptors so there shouldn't be a problem with serotonergics.
But just ask your doctor.

I thought the issue with SS was more related to pseudo-opiates like tramadol especially when mixed with SSRIs....

I'll have to look into that regarding bupe and adderal......

^ could you link me one? I haven't found anything on Adderall and buprenorphine, just opioids like fentanyl tramadol and methadone are serotonergics.

100% of those people were depressed and took zoloft. Iirc zoloft is metabolized by a cytochrom p450 so my explanation with buprenorphine being a CYP3A4 inhibitor could be right, but it's just a guess and I have nothing to back it up.

I seen that too! Interesting theory.. The zoloft part makes me think they already had serotonin issues, and your theory would only perpetuate their serotonin issues.

- Hopeless..

Ya from what I been hearing, most people are saying that addy+sub = ok. Thanks for the input guys. And ya rn I do alot better with the .5mg kpin twice a day then without. Ive w/d off and on benzos, and for quality of life the kpin is my better option, thanks again for all input.

I would worry much more about getting addicted to 3 substances. I guess you are still young if you just got into college and Benzos should generally never be taken long term or longer than 2-3 weeks.
I mean the Bupe maintenance is pretty normal but if you take Clonazepam and adderal everyday too you will definitely get problems soon.

How long are you taking the Klonopin? Because I would taper that off as quick as possible. Benzo addiction is the worst and absolute hell to withdraw from plus the long term side effects and risk of memory loss/alzheimers etc.
I would talk to your doctor if you really need 3 highly addictive substances everyday because that sounds like an overkill medication cocktail.

Just a thought but is perhaps your adderall causing the anxiety and need for the clonazopam (k-pin)?

If you suffer from any form of anxiety to begin with taking a strong stimulant like adderall (mixed amphetamine salts?) is likely to exacabate that somewhat.......

Yo, I'm not sure what place the SchutzStaffel has in Other Drugs or on Bluelight period for that matter. Frankly, I'm a little bit offended, being as heavily Jewish as I am.

I know, I know, I'm hilarious. Amphetamines can certainly trigger an episode of Serotoning Syndrome. I'd say the prospects of such an episode are unlikely when using a lone Seroton-ergic substance, but when combining say Amphetamines/SSRI's or similar, the likelihood certainly increases.

I don't mean to patronize you, but I feel like I should mention that caffeine can have a pretty profound affect on our levels of physical/mental anxiety; tachycardia, racing thoughs, tightness in chest etc. Maybe try limiting your caffeine intake and see how this affects you.
