I've read up on Yerba & I mainly want to know how it feels compared to Green tea, White tea, Coffee or other xanthines in terms of effects & health wise. I am a huge tea drinker & am really passionate about herbs, I have a book from the old country with basically all the consumable herbs known to man or at least Eastern European/Balkan man lol b/c it doesn't have Yerba Mate or Green Tea just the herbs of the continent so I am familiar with herbs especially by their original plant/latin name.
My favorites are Red Bush, Chamomile, Green Tea, White Tea, Mellisa/Lemon Balm, Mint (there's various types in the summer like chocolate mint, orange, lemon mint, spearmint) anyways I like tea a lot with no additives even if its honey. A doctor friend of the family (also big tea fan) came over on hollydays stayed for no more than a month & she always served her tea with honey, when she got back home she tested positive for diabetes! That goes to show you honey (grade A honey) is still sugar, so I dont like anything with additives/flavors for example Red Bush with Vanilla, although I like Vanilla I always look for the 100% pure when it comes to tea. I look at tea as a medicine rather than a casual drink which it is if you've ever hear of the anti depressent effects of St. Johns Wort or the greatest may be Milk Thistle which is recomended for liver regeneration and kidney protection.
The arab store where we buy lamb for Easter has a ton of Yerba but I wanted to know how it feels in comparison to Green tea, White tea, Coffee or other xanthines
Hope you guys can help me here!
Many thanks
