"rechargeable batteries" check. it's called wireless controller and charge dock for when you're not playing.
So you have to flip out batteries as they die and put them in a charger and this also costs more.
Add on $30 (charger), $40 (controller) to the price of the system.
"you can use a removable cord" check. it's called the plug and play pack.
Cool, didn't know. The PS3 comes with it and you don't have to "charge" the cable for it to work because it's not a pretend battery with a wire attached like the 360 version.
Add on $20 to the price of the system.
"the controller I find more comfortable/usable" That's down to personal preference. I don't enjoy the ps3 controller because it feels flimsy, weighs next to nothing. I like something with a little weight to it because it feels more sturdy. Fits my hands better.
You obviously don't have the Dual Shock controllers then cause it's the perfect weight. I know what you're saying about the originals but that is old now.
If you really have a PS3 I highly recommend it. The only reason the 360 controller was heavier is that it features the same vibration components.
"no fees to play online" tuche. But you also have to deal with massive lag and their crappy servers that can't handle good multiplayer online yet.
I play GTAIV with 16 people and there's rarely lag. I've played RSLV2 with 16 players and again rarely lag. Not sure what you're talking about.
No one is ever going to convince me paying for online play the 360 gives you anything better than the PS3. I've played both systems online extensively and noticed absolutely no difference.
"better system interface" That's also a personal preference. Not to mention on Wed. xbox is giving us a better interface that's a mix of the wii, ps3, and current interface.
Cool, better meaning what? At least my better is based on something that exists already. Also, isn't the fact that they're redoing the interface kind of indicative of it sucking?
Game selection? lacking in genres anything other than FPS? Come on. Seriously? the 360 has a great selection of racing games, and when it comes to sports games as he's looking for, those come on all of the systems usually.
I found the racing games on the 360 sucked ass. True the sports game are for both consoles. However, the main focus of the 360 is FPS titles, you can't deny that.
Anyway I guess if you add $100 to the price of your 360 you can mimic the PS3 controller perks but it still won't be as good because you'll be switching out batteries and the "plug and play" thing needs to be charged to work as well. Compared to the PS3 where you just plug a cord into the controller or unplug it it's a lot more hassle. With the PS3 your controller can be going dead and you plug it in and start charging without even stopping play.
So in the end you can buy a 360 Pro for $299 and add $100 in additional hardware to have the same capabilities as a $400 PS3 except it still won't have a blu-ray player and you'll be paying monthly to play online.
