What is out there for fast-acting medication to help with social anxiety and obsessive thoughts?

The Doctor prescribed Xanax...
0.25mg didn't do anything.
1mg didn't do anything.
2mg is my new prescribed dose and that didn't do anything either.

I told my Doctor about my obsessive thoughts and he said I need to give the Lexapro at-least 3-4 months to kick in and to prescribe something for OCD (on top of Vyvanse (ADHD), Lexapro (antidepressant), and Xanax (anxiety), I would need a Psychiatrist referral.

What have you guys used and what works best?

I know Lexapro does a lot of that but it's mainly for major depressive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder.
It doesn't seem to be working yet, which is why I was prescribed the Xanax.
My body sucks with medication. I asked my Doctor and he doesn't recommend vitamins or supplements, so he prescribed Xanax.

Is it possible that I need a bigger dose?

I asked him that, and also mentioned that Xanax seems to be for panic attacks and it calms the body... I need something to calm my thoughts.
Maybe 1 mg is too low for me.
I am 200 pounds and 6 feet tall.
I just don't want to take anymore and lose my Doctor's trust by wiping out and hurting myself and getting in trouble.

What do you guys recommend?

I'm also on Xanax 1mg and bromozepam 3mg if the Xanax don't help I'm very unsure as it is meant to be pretty strong only problem is the short half life i take up to 8mg per day Xanax.
*venlafaxine(EFFOX)can be pretty good but takes a good week or so to kick in.. especially for ocd but panic attacks I'm unsure, but definitely social anxiety etc.
if you feel like there not working then id stop as its pointless surely there must be something the doctors can put you on something that agree with you or any other guy have any advice for rowerwore??

Sorry we can't recommend drugs here. We don't have the credentials.

If you have social anxiety and obsessive thoughts that bother you, why are you taking speed? Think about it.

That said, seeing a psychiatrist is a great idea, but again, no asking people what to get prescribed on this site.

I'm going to close this. You're new so I'm going to let this pass.
