My friend is not psycho, he has been relatively normal until he started his own business last year, and has been doing coke too often, he dumped 3 MDMA caps at a football game and he has been acting differently lately, we have all called him up on it and he denies having a problem, he went to his doctor who prescribed him the minimal dose of Paxil. I have been hanging around him to try help him because I have been through similar and he is displaying symptoms of PTSD, having somatic problems like on and off stomach cramps, sharp pains in the head.
The thing that is disturbing me though is his eyes look psychotic and he does some scat things like he lost his puppy the other day, he misplaces his phone.
He clearly has stimulant psychosis and I have witnessed it when he was on coke. I have even asked him if he gets paranoid and he said yes.
One night he was drunk and said he wants nothing to do with coke. Then today he says he is gonna do some to get a job finished tonight.
He says things like "do you think I have gone mad yet?" like it doesnt matter.
He used to smoke meth 10 years ago and was fine but whatever he is doing lately (he had prescription stuff at home, benzos, endone etc) has got to him, hes not the same, I keep telling him hes going to end up in a psych ward and he does not care, what baffles me is he knows what he is doing is wrong.
My best friend was saying he is battling something, he said possibly being gay but I doubt its that, he is banging a girl at the moment although he has never really had a serious relationship he is 30. He perves on a lot of girls on the street.
When he drinks he talks in anger about people in general typically people he knows such as them not caring enough.
I have been trying to counsel him and teach him relaxation techniques but he cant sit still, he always needs to be doing something, his sleeping is a bit erratic and so is his work schedule, not taking jobs in the morning and doing work late at night.
His symptoms but not attitude remind me of myself when I had a problem but the thing is I am borderline he isnt, so he is dealing with something completely different.... I thought he may have a personality disorder but he does not seem to fit one.
