So not including today, the three days prior I had taken somewhere around 70 to 80 mg of adderal over the course of the day each day. All was fine until Wednesday evening I noticed I was having trouble breathing among the other known common side effects like increased heart rate and body temperature, Etc. So I realize that the substance Improvement, but my shortness of breath and trouble getting a full long full of air is really starting to worry me. Years ago I punctured and collapsed a lung and not sure if that is playing a role in this, but I'm just trying to figure out if this shortness of breath will go away soon after not taking for a few days or if I need to seek medical attention. I'm not usually a user of uppers, I had a few days where I was working back-to-back 16-hour days and getting called into work a few hours after I had left so I needed to be awake and alert and a friend supplied me for a couple days. But now I'm getting worried

My guess is that you'll be fine. When I take stimulants I often get the feeling that I'm not able to take full enough breaths, when I get high enough. it's an unpleasant feeling but it always goes away when I come down. I'd say if it doesn't go away within a day or two after coming down, and doesn't get worse, you're fine.

That's what I am hoping. My last dose was about 3pm yesterday, and I'm still having issues. The breathing trouble is causing headaches and dizziness.

Headaches and dizziness is a little worse than I experience... for me it's a feeling of not getting enough air that is unpleasant. If it gets worse I would get some medical attention. If possible, you should rest. if it hasn't gotten better by tomorrow, or if it gets worse, I'd get it checked out.

It seems to be getting a little better, I think the headaches and maybe even the dizziness is from not eating much of the last couple days troubled with the feeling of not getting enough air. I'm hoping it's better by tomorrow because I do not want to go to the ER

Feeling much better this morning. Breathing has returned to normal as far as I can tell, uppers have never really been my thing and I think I'll stay away from now on. Thanks for your responses.

That's great. :) Yeah stimulants aren't good for you at all. Better to stay away, honestly. I find it hard to stay away for too long myself, even though after each high I'm like, ugh, I need to not do this again.

I was always an opiate kind of guy myself, and even went down the long path of addiction with it. But for some reason I have never ever enjoyed uppers as much as others do, and after this most recent tangle with them I think I will stay away for good

You're gonna be fine. Stimulants dehydrate you and make you lose a lot of vitamins/minerals. You need to eat bananas and supplement with potassium and magnesium and possibly zinc. A few cans of smoked oysters will help. Get the B vitamins in from red meat. Eat your carbs in the ratio of 1 gram per pound of your bodyweight to 2 grams. You will recover real fast this way. Vegetables help.
