is this dangerous? i heard a stroke is basically when oxygenless blood goes to your head. and since your herat will be beating fast but your lungs will be slow .. I don't get it, you see what im trying to say?

There are a few types of strokes...
Most commonly there are bleeds, and there are clots.
Bleeds are when a vessel in your brain somewhere bursts.

CVA's involving clots happen when the fatty deposits on the inside of your veins and arteries, called atherosclerosis, break free from the wall of your inner vein and travel into an area of your brain where they get stuck. This blocks any oxygenated blood from traveling past the blockage and causes the tissue downstream to begin to die.

SO, its not that the blood traveling into that part of your brain has no Oxygen in it, its that there is no freshly oxygenated blood getting past the block in that brain vessel.

I hope that helps you understand the process with regards to CVA's.

As far as opiates increasing the risk of someone suffering from a CVA while working out I can't answer that part for you, sorry and good luck

How does high blood pressure and high rbc count increase the risk of stroke? I always wanted to know this and I might as well ask you cus you seem knowledgable

I am also opioid dependant and do heavy weight training anywhere from 4-6 days a week and have never felt the slightest issue. In fact I would think it would curb the large BP spikes associated with lifting.

This is the first time I've ever heard of strokes in association with working out on opioids and quite frankly, I don't think this is even a genuine issue

when you have a high red blood cell count your blood tends to clot easier. these clots can break off and travel into a small vein/artery and cause a CVA

I wrote an answer but it didn't work, but I seem to be able to write replies. I think your making a bigger issues about it than it is. When you breath faster your heart beats faster..... that body system is caed the cardiovascular system. In a nut shell, you breath into your nose, it goes down into your lungs, out the capillaries and into your blood where it travels around your body oxygenating everything, before it is returned arterially to your heart....

Like I said, I'm not a Dr. but I really don't think this is an issue at all my man...
