Will I kill my plants if I pick young buds off too soon?

I'm pretty sure you have to cure it right for the THC to be at it's maximum potency
eh, im not so sure. The trichs can be removed from wet plant material & smoked; Although still damp/moist it produces an effect in which should be on par with the end cured material's trichs considering its the same trichs doin the work/action, no?

you can get high off fresh wet weed but not as high, weed does increase its potency if it is cured correctly, on the other hand if cured incorrectly it can looose potency

so i say as far a THC goes: bad cure<wet material<good cure (rankin the potentcy of the same bud that is)

dont waste the buds by picking them early one of the saddest things ive ever seen is a 12 foot beauty get completely chopped down when the buds were still very small. i cried inside.

"what i read is under no circumstances are you to trim off fan leaves or other leaves to "expose the bud to light"

not expose the bud to light, but to let the rest of the plant/leaves get more nutrients/photosynthesis. im talking about SOG here, not some big trees, but a constant flow of just enough, and plenty good.

"topping a plant during flower is good for it?"

i did say there is a point where you do not want to do this. if you want a smaller bushier plant, that is more easily concealed, doesnt require a mass of lumens and space and $, done correctly, and timely, yes absolutely.

you can have an 18" plant thats just as potent as a 12' plant, it will have a massively less yield, but the next one will be ready soon etc.

Hmm its kinda hard for me to believe topping a plant during flowering will result in just as potent bud considering the stress factor & herm effect. Where is it you are getting this information from? I'm sure you know once hermification occurs the seed process will take tres valuable energy & direct it to seed production.

Or you can develop many top colas instead of just one. Don't top a plant more than twice and never top when it is in the flowering stage.

I've been repeating this for the last few days & it doesnt seem anything is getting in.

Yeah dude, ITS CALLED "FLOWERING"!!!
Please understand you should never top plants during flowering, let it go, learn from it & move on. I'll do the same.
