Y do u prefer benzos over opiates not hating but I'm just trying to see it from ur stand point

^ Indeed. They are different and produce different feelings. Everyone is different.

Benzodiazepines make me completely at bliss, no anxiety, nothing. That's when I add the opioids. Is when the anxiety is long gone and I don't have to focus on anything.

Benzos cut down on the anxiety but only one works for me (Klonopin). It's more of a drowsy and slightly carefree feeling.

Opiates feel way different. It's an extremely relaxed/don't give a shit feeling with an underlying warmth.

The thread title appears to mean the opposite of your original post.. lol
Are you asking why people prefer benzos, or why people prefer opiates?

Anyway, I prefer opiates because it's like benzos but with endorphins added to the GABA effect. I've always really enjoyed endorphins, but I also love to mess with those lovely GABA receptors of mine.

I generally love sedatives becuase my brain is always going crazy with racing thoughts anyway. I feel like I need these substances to feel relaxed. Opiates are a heck of a lot more euphoric to me than benzos are.
But I also love to mix the two, just gotta be careful because yeah that is a super dangerous combo, but blissful.

Shut my brain off and forget it all. mmmm

That was my bad, I changed the thread title to make it legible and accidentally crossed wires... corrected now. Thanks.

Benzo's don't come near the bliss and hedonistic, body-orgasmic, and euphoriant properties of the usually more potent opioids (eg heroin, oxymorphone, IV administrated hydromorph). That's why, simple pharmacokinetics. Just look at all the heroin epidemics going/huge increase in heroin-related deaths on the USA recently, people are blowing their paychecks and dying for it, although some GABAergic narcotics are abused for synergism with their opioid of choice.

I personally love diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and other GABAergics e.g. carisoprodol or etizolam (ETilee, Etizest, Sedekopan, fuck the powder and most shitty or fake blue/pink pellets) in comb. with IV heroin, IV hydromorphone or the few oral opioids that get me off: methadone, oxy.

Papaverium and I seem to have the same hedonistic pleasure in drug cocktails. Although, I also shoot my share of high-quality, bellringer cocaine shots (alone or perfect ratio speedball)

I find that benzos (especially xanax/alprazolam) make me feel drunk and fucked up without the bad side effects of alcohol and hit you like a brick while on the other hand opiates are more subtle. but in all honesty I'd have to choose opiates they are good at any time anywhere for me.

Ah yes, I've never actually injected cocaine before, so I cannot have an opinion on it but I'm really touchy with uppers as there is an extremely fine line for me between feeling good and having an anxiety attack when i do stims. That's the main reason why I have never tried it, but I do hear nice things about speedballs :3

Very probably there are subtle genetical differences between individuals that make the GABAergic experience different. There's actually a very enjoyable side about GABA agonism that some experience very pronounced with these Z-drugs like zolpidem, my girlfriend is prone to that, but I don't get anything really out of them besides sleepiness. Only in combination with alcohol in my teens, zopiclone had some hallucinogenic CEV-like effects and a nice overall feeling, but it was heavily amnesia-inducing too.

Muscimol from the fly agaric is also a GABA-A agonist by the way!

Well I mean why not? Basically there is a 4 carbon skeleton between the OH and the amine. I don't know the pKa of the OH or what is the most important feature of that "site", but still it doesn't look that different from GABA, so I'm not surprised it is an agonist. Oh and ibotenic acid (the "γ-carboxy derivative" of muscimol, analogous to how glutamate is γ-carboxy GABA) is an agonist of NMDA and some glutamate receptors (from Wiki).
