Why do people feel more high from Green Dragon, then drunk?

Since most of the time whenever I drink with weed, I feel drunk. I recently had green dragon, (told it was green dragon, 99% sure it was). The weird thing was, I was high out of my mind, but I wasn’t drunk? It confused the shit out of me because when I usually drink while smoking dope, I feel the effects of alcohol more. Anyone know why this is? Is there something in the extraction process that makes you feel more high then drunk?
 
its a simple matter of the Green Dragon you got. if I put 1 ounce of weed to every shot of Everclear for my recipe compared to 1 gram of weed to every shot of Everclear in my recipe for Green Dragon, it will either make you higher than drunk or drunker than high. No one I know has got down the best ratio yet and its hard to tell until your actually high (cross faded?) drunk?

weed does seem to overpower the booze in general for me but it all depends on what you got theres no limit. :)
 
its 1 shot of alcohol vs x amount of thc.

yes, the thc amount is an unknown variable for you, based on your OP. that should pretty much sum it up. if i didnt make the green dragon myself i wouldnt necessarily expect anywhere near the same effects each time.
 
I've made green dragon before, and it was also the reason I stopped drinking hard liqour. A word of advice, don't try to make green dragon with everclear. I drank around 7 shots of this stuff and didn't think it was gonna work.....I ended up with alcohol poisoning.... Not fun, if I ever try to make the stuff again, I'm only using stems and maybe 3 small buds (no seeds, makes it taste worst than it already is. Use a good vodka, like grey goose or finlandia, most other stuff will give off an awful taste or smell
 
i mix a ounce of weed and 750ml of bacardi 151 in a empty gallon of water....put it in the closet and shake it everyday, keep it out light!..then after 3 weeks it starts to be green dragon.. as for the effects, I would say that you at first feel the alcohol, and then like after 30 minutes, could be more or less, the effects of the weed start becoming more visible..fulll red eyes and completly stoned.. thanks for giving me desires to make a batch for christmas!
 
When I smoke weed though and drink I only feel drunk, not high at all. Could it be different with the green dragon? Im just wondering, casue i dont want to make it if it is just going to get me drunk.
 
you are not going to feel drunk...the beggining and only needed dose is a shot, 1 3/4 or 1 1/2 ounces worth of the green dragon if it is made the way I told previously...either you have it as a shot or drink it in a cocktail with ice,sprite or 7up, lemon and sugar...of the alcohol you are going to feel like a shot worth of 151..buzzed for a timed but NOT drunk
 
its all about how much weed you put in there. ie: if i put an ounce of weed into a 750 ml bottle to make green dragon, every 94 mls of alcohol will contain the thc from about an 8th of whatever weed you used, minus waste etc. if youve ever eaten an 8th at once in weed food, you know its probably not the most genius idea ever, so yes, the weed in 1 shot will be enough if you make it right.

if you want the answer to be "x amount of green dragon will make you THIS stoned" you are going to be disappointed, because green dragon varies depending on how its made and what its made with. however if its done properly it should always get you infinitely more stoned than drunk. besides, who even feels one shot of vodka or bacardi? i almost never drink but 1 shot is still nothing.
 
yeah that should be fine. just dont drink too much of it coz its easy to get carried away, like with food. sometimes its hard to equate 1 shot of alcohol with over a gram of weed.
 
i've put 2g bud and couple g's of stems in smirnoff vodka (40% - 375ml) for 3 weeks
i drank a shot then got that weird drunk and stoned at the same time feeling 8o
i hate drinking tho so i'll stick to smoking =D
 
The more potent the alcohol, the better the extraction. Say moonshine or everclear at 190% both I use, will definitely give you a nice kick in the arse but you will feel more high. But the key to this all is "Potency & Preparation". I have a reply in a thread on green dragon providing a detailed heated tincture that puts cold water ones to shame. It explains why things work the way they do. If your preparing it right, you shouldn't have to drink "too much" If your waiting an hour after you drank one or two ounces of the after product you will feel the effects. The alcohol here isn't intended to get you drunk. We just use the best % alc. because it will extract the most THC, thc is not water soluble so in this case ethanol is used just like butter and oil for stem/bud tea... Hell its a primitive form of weed extract in other words. Drink it, lace your bowls, give it to your friends and get ready to fly like a kite! (Secondary thoughts were that they used a low proof alc (Below 80 %) and good bud, still wanna place my bets on preparation ;) and of course the liquor does add just a tad of feeling to the buzz making it quite unique. Thats whats meant to happen xD

Depends on what amount of cannabinoids you get into the liquor.

Oral cannabis can be pretty heavy.

You could dissolve as much BHO as possible into some alcohol and you would be able to get enough THC into your body with a shots worth to be pretty high and not very drunk.

Its about bio availabilities and amounts consumed of both....
 
Yeah it all comes down to the overall potency of a particular batch. I think ideally one would want a high THC to alcohol ratio. If the brew is weak on THC, you might have to get too drunk just to obtain the weed high.

I don't think that the point of Green Dragon is to get you both drunk and stoned, the alcohol is more like a quick and effective delivery system to get the THC passed through your stomach and into your brain faster. Alcohol is rapidly absorbed from the stomach lining so when you have it "laced" with THC it's probably the quickest way to obtain oral effects from marijuana.

I've always wanted to try and make a batch of this but I never got around to it. Maybe someday...
