Who are you?

^duuUude

I to myself am
the sustained perception amidst my own & my surrounding environments action & changes, of which ideally the consequences that follow remain true to my expectations, allowing myself to be me freely with others, honestly.

Simply a culmination of your experiences and biology :P -- Descartes argues in his famous "cogito" you are all you can know. You think therefore you are. It is all you can know and will ever know. The true philosophical problem is not knowing what you are, rather what everything else is. You are just the starting point.

^you must know who you are first before anything else can. anything or anyone can mean something different to us without being able to truly relate. once you have cracked into your very being, seen the I of you, you cant help but recognize in all else, that which also exists within yourself.

it is only a true 'philosophical problem', as long as it is allowed to remain one.

there were only 99 bottles of beer on the wall, and once they are gone, the game is over.

I am not. Only it, is.

I refine my earlier position of a self enclosed mirror; upon thorough examination there is no boundary between self and world. The contents of consciousness are not separate from consciousness itself. Object and subject collapse into one another. From the perspective of the mind that divides, infinity meets itself repeatedly. From the absolute, it never leaves.

The ripples of existence move through all things, the refraction of each is all that differentiates. But ultimately these differences exist only in the illusory abstraction of a mind, in truth, there is no difference. We are therefore not the world, and not ourselves, we can be nothing, for there is no we. It, is all that is.

those ripples of existence touch all simultaneously, in parallel. now happens and much of the how when were why, who else involved, and what happens is an arrangement of circumstances accumulated by karma and dharma being played out from past lives. since now is happening because of actions of the past, those actions of the past are also happening now, manifested in the present as your own acquired subjective placement.

eventually your wave of existence begins to lessen, after growing to its greatest potential, then reaching the shore retreats back into the ocean again. once apart from, always a part of, until it is realized it was itself relied on the whole time.

in this sense you are the world, or the eyes of the world, watching your own actions take place.

You can make the mountains ring
Or make the angels cry
Know the dove is on the wing
And you need not know why

Some will come and some will go
We shall surely pass
When the one that left us here
Returns for us at last
We are but a moments sunlight
Fading in the grass

You hold the key to love and fear
All in your trembling hand
Just one key unlocks them both
It's there at your command

I'm an ethereal being sent to this corporeal world to learn. I realized this when I was 19 and tripping on acid in my room. It's stuck with me ever since :)

Stoned thought - is who i am just a result of what i want to be? if I wants to play dress up and be an asshole then it's up to I right? I is born neutral - i think. And um it's our choice whether we want to be good or bad. That's how we all view the world. speculation: this was where philosophy started for man, and once we began giving names to these good and bad things we created language. All that exists is either catagorized as positive, negative or neutral in a spectrum by our brain. And we began vocalizing this spectrum, creating language. the tool of language created the ego :P. the ego is renowned as being social coincidentally. Idk where i was going with that, anyways lol um... I dont remember my point so bye for now

I believe that all speech is actually the subconscious mind talking to the conscious mind -- so we are only ever talking to ourselves: even though we believe that we are talking to each other -- If you take the time to read all of your posts over again (in reverse order) I suspect that you will find out who you are -- but that could just be my subconscious thought speaking to me -- In which case, I had better take my own advice and see who I am; but I suspect that I am not what I claim to be; due to half-truths, inverted-truths, and lies.
