Social Justice White/Straight/Cis/Male Privilege

^not gonna get into a big thing with you again.

Just curious... Is there any other group aside from cis straight white males that you would make that statement about?

sooo don't?

I'm not. Just asking a question. Not going to go round in circles.

I'm asking if there's any other groups of people that it must be so hard being, other than cis straight white males. @dalpat077 is both a cis straight white male and a racial minority. Does he qualify?

What fucking "Priviledge" do I have or see round here? NONE!!!!
Also to label people like that is sick, if I began to label black folks as "Nigge.." or gays as "queers" etc the SJW lot would come for me head.

This is a thread to discuss whether these things exist and if they do, to what extent? Is it true in some geographic places but not others? Is it true in your own life or isn't it?

I would never make such a blanket statement as to say it's true for everyone, everywhere. But I do believe in my own country , in general, your chances of success goes up the more of these things you check off.

I stick by the theory that the rich are behind "critical race theory" and all this racial bullshit is funded by ostensibly philanthropic donations meant to keep the working and professional classes at war while the wealthy get to keep jetsetting instead of being dragged out of their mansions and flayed by the rest of us, like they would if we weren't all kept busy with this whole perpetual racism narrative
THIS!!!!!!!

Do you think racial/homophobic slurs are the same as suggesting certain people have advantages in certain countries at certain points in history?

I think white people need to suffer hundreds of years of oppression to even things up.

we should have to kneel at every black persons feet to show we are sorry for what happened to them.
and while we’re kneeling we should suck off any gay men in the vicinity to show solidarity to the gay community.

So that will include the way Jews were put into slavery, how pirates from Africia came over & took people from Ireland, England & Europe back over to be sold into slavery, the way the Huti killed the Tutsi etc...........

Let me make it CLEAR

We are ALL the same, we are people. If you breath Oxygen & need it to stay alive, bleed blood & can talk you are a human & I see you as the same as I am, we're ALL Brother & Sister to each other & ONE FAMILY under the gaze of "God"

Hmmm. I can think of specific individual exceptions, as well as groups that are more advantaged in select contexts.

For instance of the 2000 or so billionaires on Forbes billionaires list, I'd imagine things are probably pretty sweet for the black ones... All... 13 of them. :p

Or the females on the list, all 200ish of them.

Or the black females on the list, alll.. Oprah of them...

Yep, I never said it was limited to white people. Why would it be?

Well for what it's worth (and I'm not quite sure what the argument is here on this thread i.e. I'm slightly confused):

I can categorically state that in my country I am compromised because I'm white and certainly don't have more privileges because of my skin color. Matter of fact: it's the total opposite here and it's entrenched in certain laws here (when it comes to business) which is quite ironic given that our Constitution is SUPPOSED to be one of the fairest and all encompassing and all embracing and progressive in the world.

The above aside (and still not being quite sure what this thread about): I cannot for the life of me understand why race is to be ignored. I am NOT the same as a black man. Not in appearance, culture, or in any other way (and there are many). And visa versa. It is a myth in my opinion that "it's just skin color" or "pigmentation" but "underneath" we're all the same. No we are not. And that's just on the surface and at face value (even if you take racism out of this and which fortunately for myself, I'm guessing, I'm avoiding at this point) (or at very least trying to). In the interest of fairness: I could say the same for the Indians and the Pakistanis here too. We are not the same. Never have been. Never will be. But there's nothing wrong with that. Why should there be? Damn sure they wouldn't want to be white. To me the biggest travesty of all is to force people, by any means necessary, to ignore race and all that goes with it e.g. culture.

Anyway. Not sure if the above has anything to do with the topic or is on topic. But I'm sure somebody will enlighten me and we can go from there.

People since we first came onto this planet have been bad to each other, it's just part of human nature so ACCEPT it, suck it up & get on with your life.

It's people like you that add fuel to the fire.

Most black people live in Africa... Are they failing to become billionaires because white people in Africa are privileged?

How many of those 13 billionaires you mentioned are American? Aren't they disproportionately American? This doesn't seem to fit with white privilege preventing them from being billionaires.

With all due respect, I think you're confusing equality of outcome and equality of opportunity.

Can systemic disadvantage for black people in the United States be proved by outcome?

...

I suspect we might go round in circles again if you answer these questions. So, let me (instead) leave them as rhetorical and ask you something else.

If white people have privilege, what do you think (if anything) should be done to fix that?

You said you disagree with racial discrimination like adding / subtracting points from SAT scores according to race... So, how do we ensure that there are more black billionaires or more female billionaires... or more black female billionaires?

Obviously there's no obligation to respond to any of this. I'm just (honestly) confused about what privilege means today in the United States, beyond class. People who come from money have a better chance of being successful, regardless of their skin color... and statistically African-American communities experience more poverty than white communities. I get that... but that isn't racism, is it?

I'll stop now.

Don't respond if you don't want to. I'm not going to go around in circles, but I would appreciate an explanation because I'm genuinely confused about what the issue is here.

I've been arguing against white privilege throughout this entire thread.

I literally have no idea what you're talking about?

Um. No. I can at least answer that question! :ROFLMAO: I'd be happy to provide the forum members here with the actual reasons why this be the case. But again: not in the mood for another PM from a mod. with the BLUA and riot act attached! :ROFLMAO:

For the hell of it though I thought I could add SOME info. here that would be relevant so I decided to check out OUR billionaires. Epic fail! There's only six apparently. Two of whom are in the USA i.e. Elon Musk (go figure) and some dude by the name of Patrick Soon-Shiong (Chinese parents) (never heard of him before), three white dudes and only one black dude who are resident. Note: these are USD billionaires though. Our President is a ZAR billionaire though (and I think there's more than a few of them) so dunno if that counts.

On the other hand and just something to consider:

There's probably a fair number of them in Africa. They're just not quite committed to keeping accurate books of account! :ROFLMAO:
