just asking cuz one of my best friends oded and died few months ago from heroin.and i was wondering which ROA is most likely to cause death. my friend never did heroin until this time but he had done oxys before. i just wondered what he did. if he smoked the heroin or if he snorted it.or injected it. i doubt that he injected it cuz he wasnt that kind of drug user. i couldnt see him shooting up.its possibly but still.he mostly just smoked weed and did oxy every once in while.
but he od'ed and never woke up.he was also on anti depressant medication at the time.i was thinking maybe he was drunk and someone offered him some heroin ,to try it for the first time.and he did to much maybe.
i just want to know if it is easy to die from smoking heroin??? i think he used to smoke oxys

Shooting, smoking, then snorting.

I've personally witnessed two kids OD from snorting and smoking it (less than a half g each). Luckily present company at the time knew what to do and emergency services arrived soon enough to save their lives.

Benzo addition will also increase this risk.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend :( Best wishes

^Yep.

There are many factors in play here, but '2501 laid out the ROAs for you for the most part. However, heroin actually absorbs really slowly through the nasal membranes, giving it a higher than normal risk of OD because the effects come on so gradually. So without the autopsy, its more or less impossible to tell which ROA they used. Other factors include individual tolerance to opiates and other drugs, any and all other substances in their system, allergies to drugs, doing drugs in a strange place, stress factors, it really could be anything. Antidepressant medication can certainly cause interactions.

Sorry to hear about your friend but we can only speculate from here. I imagine an autopsy report is available from your local coroner's office if this information is really that important to you. That's the best data you'll be able to get, I'm afraid.

I'm going to close this thread now. Stay safe, and remember that certain ROAs are more dangerous than others, but there is no 100% safe ROA.
