Where's AOC???

I was just reading a piece debunking this, last night. Let me see if I can find it.

From memory, she WAS in the building, along with all of the other senators, and the real criticism came from when she said someone was pounding on her door, shouting "WHERE IS SHE?? WHERE IS SHE??" and she assumed it was a rioter trying to get her. When in fact it was a capitol police officer trying to find her to protect her. Of course she didn't know that so her fear was still real and justified.

she was not in the main capitol dome. she never said she was.

she was in her office in the cannon house office building where she said she was.

nancy mace (r-south carolina) tweeted: "I’m two doors down from @aoc and no insurrectionists stormed our hallway."

aoc said that she initially thought the people banging on doors shouting "where is she?" were rioters but found out they were capitol police.

indeed, nancy mace herself said she was frightened enough to barricade her own office door.

i guess nancy mace doesn't have a problem with her own response to the disturbance, just aoc's.

the whole thing is just an attempt to smear aoc.

Thanks for clearing that up. Confusing.

I dont know why these people use social media like this as its just shit stirring the pot but she seems like she over dramatacises a nd exaggregates a lot of things to possibly be more of a victim/have sympathy for her plight.

That's a fairly common tactic, in this case she's pointed out in her own words that there was no way there should have been such slack security since it was suspected shit was going to happen.

Ocasio-Cortez, a Democrat from New York, noted that some members of Congress had been made aware that some sort of violence could occur on Jan 6, to the point where she was warned in advance that she "needed to be careful about the sixth." She also appeared to suggest that many vocal Trump supporters had began to filter into Washington on Monday, days ahead of the Capitol siege.

"Anyone who tells you that we couldn't have seen this coming is lying to you," she said. "Anyone who's gone on the record and said that there was no indication of violence has lied."

She sounds like a douchebag, no wonder the cops were shitty with her.
