What Was Your First Time Getting High?

My first experience was in my early teens. All I did was chug a bottle of robitussin by myself (around 300mg?). The whole time I was doing it I didn't know weather I were high or not because it was my first time Lol.

I didn't get too high or anything like that just an interesting way to start off doing drugs. It was pretty simple. I'm interested in reading some other first times, hopefully crazier than mine!

My first time getting high was chugging a 4 oz bottle of Vicks 44 I bought with my lunch money. I was so nervous but finally just chugged it. I got a couple of my friends at the Christian school doing it with me on the regular. Never talked anybody into anything my friends were the small group of druggies you'll find at any religious school. Just a few misfit kids that nobody likes which is ironic because these people would be "the cool kids" at a regular high school.

So yah we'd just have sleep overs, walk to the pharmacy or ride bycycles, and chug cough syrup and listen to music once our parents went to sleep. And watch our hands move funny back and forth and ask how high the other person was. Looking back I wish I'd have been more concerned with school or something a little more productive than chugging cough syrup every weekend with my boys and huffing starter fluid and all that other stupid shit but hey I had a lotta fun.

My first time, taking 20mg of hydrocodone I bought off some kid when I was in high school, I remember feeling good and confident flirting with this girl in class then throwing up in front of everyone haha. Opiates and throwing up go hand in hand with me to this day.

i ate 2g of mushrooms and a pot brownie, then later drank some tequila and smoked a cigarette. my first experience of intoxication of any kind haha.

My first time smoking, drinking and tripping were all typical and boring.

It took me a few tries with both to get past side effects (paranoia/dizziness, hangovers/puking, improper dosing techniques)

No one hit wonders for me. Even with downers and stimulants theres been a learning curve.

This is kind of an anti answer but I'm serious. I can remember my first times with each drug but none are particularly memorable. IME, practice makes perfect when it comes to taking drugs too.

You dived at the deep end with your first time, huh? 4 different drugs for a first time is not that commonplace I think.

My first time was with alcohol, but I drank too little to get a significant effect. I second SirTophamHat in that my first experiences with alcohol and weed were underwhelming. Especially weed. I smoked, didn't feel anything, went to sleep, and had one of the best sleeps of my life; but no intoxication that I noticed. Took me a while to learn what effects to look for.

First time I got high I was 15. Me and my brother had some girls over and we were just hanging out. I had some weed but the girls were worried about their parents finding out so I went outside and smoked a crap rolled joint by myself. I don't know why that high was so incredible but I never since then felt anything quite the same. I know weed isn't supposed to give you visual hallucinations but it was very dimly lit and this one girls face just kept changing, it was insane. The I just felt the music was amazing too. I was out of control and couldn't distinguish what was normal and when I was being weerd but it was so much fun. Never had another experience with weed like that.

yup! didnt rlly notice the alcohol though lol

The first few times I got drunk around 16-17 I enjoyed it but not sure I was able to detect specific psychological or physical changes in feeling other than eventually being shitfaced

It's a good drug for slow dosing over time which newcomers never do suppose

Drank alcohol in small amounts throughout my childhood. First time I ever did a non-alcohol/nicotine drug was 16, when I smoked a blunt with a friend in Central Park, NYC.

First time I ever got REALLY high was when I was 20 (psilocybin mushrooms, Austin TX)

Smoked weed off an aluminum can when I was 15, didnt really get high though. It wasnt until the 3rd time I got so high I really didnt remember walking back to my friends house, it felt like i was suddenly back in the chair in the basement. I remember being upset because i thought i damaged my brain or something... as it turns out i didnt! I then proceeded to spend the rest of the time onward attempting to break my brain and failing every time :)

Before then i did attempt to drink and smoke cigs but all i got from alcohol was tired and smoking didnt really do anything until i got good from smoking weed basically.

I was 24 years old, just graduated college and moved to the big city. I had avoided alcohol and drugs through high school and college. Wasn't against them, just didn't ever want to feel "out of control" of myself. Long story short, met the wrong guy, got in with a hard partying group of friends, and eventually ended up trying X. I took 2 very strong pills and THAT was my first "high" that I always am chasing. Feeling that X, having never even been drunk or even semi-high on anything...it rocked my world. Had that night never happened, I would probably still be 100% drug-free and probably on the right career and life path that my friends I grew up with are. My life went the other way after that first high.

My first altered state experience was when I was 17, I smoked a cigarette for the first time. Whoa Nelly, was my head spinning, never felt anything like that before. I don't really have broad experience with rec drugs, I 've used a handful of things but the only thing that really compared to that giant rush was the first time I used hydro.

Drank at a very young age, grandparents were cool with it as long as we stayed in the house

I first got high at 13 or 14. We crawled onto some kids roof and passed around his pop can bowl of dro

Cocaine- Age 7, my friends older brother had been trading me packs of cigarettes for some of my adderall prescription, and one day tells me to get into his car with him and his buddy. He offered me a plate with white powder cut into lines and asked if i wanted to try coke. I was absolutely terrified and so curious so i indulged myself to a line. I experienced an insane amount of energy and thought i was going to have that lump in my throat forever lol

Marijuana- About age 10, smoked eight bowls in a row with my sister, who was much older than me. Told her i already smoked pot before to get her to smoke with me. After the first few bowls i said i didn't feel anything and told her that her pot sucked. She continued to pack them up until we got to eight. At that point it hit me and i was demolished lol i remember i felt so heavy i could barely walk haha.

Opiates- About age 12, i took an entire bottle of Vicodin from my mother. In an attempt to impress my friends i shared them, and i took about 20 over the course of 4 hours. It was heaven. I experienced the euphoria of opiates/opioids for the first time that night, (as well as how shitty acetaminophen overdose can make you feel later) and my junkie career began. If only id known what was to come..

Methamphetamine- At age 14, i was at my cousin's house. She was 15 years older than i roughly, and had a man over. This man was using meth and offered me a try, as well as my girlfriend at the time. I was no stranger to amphetamines due to my adderall prescription, so the experience didn't stick out to me that much, aside from learning how meth intensifies sex.

Heroin- Age 16, I know this should be with opiates but its significant because this is the first time i injected a drug. Anyway i call my dealer looking for pain pills, and he tells me no but I've got some boy. Not knowing the slang i ask whats boy, he tells me heroin. My heart dropped, because i was exited. The price was discussed and we met 10 minutes later. I went straight home, gathered one of my mothers insulin syringes, and googled how to shoot up. A after prepping the shot i injected into my vein effortlessly, thinking how easy it was. I experienced my first rush, and it was over from there. The intense euphoria and warmth inside my body and mind grabbed me so hard. Every type of opiate pill i could inject, i did. In fact every type of drug that i could inject i did. Simply put, you don't go back to eating pills after you experience the rush you get from banging. Bad news guys.

I could go on with other random drug experiences but these were the most prominent "first time getting high" stories.

Stay safe everyone.

I was 15, it was before a high school football game. kind of true to the premonition that your first time smoking weed is your highest experience w/ it. I remember walking up the winding hill feeling like everything was tilted [it was sick and slightly psychedelic]

then I'm at the game [bleachers] kinda in my own zone and lol I start looking at different people, thinking oh shit, theyre HIGH too :D .. like 'oh shit.... EVERYBODY here is high." LOL

smoked a bowl of pot out of a tinfoil + water bottle + pen tube when i was 14... me and my buddy were hiding deep in the woods that i used to frequent in childhood and i remember the exact moment i felt high.... a feeling of happiness i've never been able to attain without drugs. all of a sudden things were "different".... and better!

bought some Adderall off a girl with adhd in world history class when I was 17.... proceeded to learn a lot. pretty lame lol but I had a good time. my teacher was quite interesting even without the drugs.
