I keep hearing people refer to bumping something called Tina. I just played along like I knew what it was. Could this be 2-tc-7? Or something else?

Tina is a bitch, and don't you forget it.

It is slang for meth. As I imagine it, the etomology of the word is as such:
Meth became Crystal
Crystal became Christina
Christina became Tina
But, that's just a guess.

Blue Lava,
Whether it's correct or not, I do like your theory on how meth came to be "Tina". Can you give me some insight into other slang terms and their etymology? E.g. Charlie

Based on the input from one of my gay friends, Tina is a word that is used almost entirely by the gay scene for crystal. He also believes that is where it originated... but who knows...

You may well be right about that trance777. I spend most of my days in the gay community. She's either called crystal, or tina. No one ever calls it meth, glass, ice, tweak, speed or anything else. Maybe it's like a big joke because all these fags are talking about their dates with tina. "Oh, tina kept me up all night long again." wink wink.
Charlie = viet kong = north vietnamise army
??????? What the hell is charlie ????????

In the UK, coke is Charlie 'cos of a comic character called Charlie Chalk... coke is white and looks like chalk, so Chalk/Charlie Chalk/Charlie.
Same for speed (not crystal meth). Referred to as Whizz (for reasons duh_), and a character in a comic is called Billy Whizz, so is often called Billy/Billy Whizz/Whizz.

Thanks for the clarification...I thought this was some new mysterious drug. The funny thing is it was actaully a gay dude that had said it!

Cokes as white as it is tan...
Why do people try to act like they are the 'authority' everytime someone makes a statement about anything that could possibly be anything but 100% universally correct.

full agreement here about the evolution of the 'tina' reference (crystal=cristina/chrissy=tina). also concur with the term being mostly used within the gay community (male especially). as in:
"hey, you talk to tina lately?"
"yeah, i saw that bitch last weekend, but i dont know where she is now."

Wow, first Tina I have ever liked in my whole life. I really like her though, I invite her to parties all the time.
My sister also calls it Tina and the first few times she said it I had no clue who/what she was talking about. I didn't really care at the time, but it is nice to know other people call it that too.

in baltimore oxycontins are called tickets. i have absolutely no clue how that came to be.
