What happens if your mind lives for ever on the internet?

Wouldn’t accepted morals and social norms be part of the brain’s connectivity 🧠? It’s not like our superego is concentrated in one area (although there’s admittedly a lot of inhibition in the prefrontal cortex).
A lot of our norms are learned, and presumably that would be in the data dump.
This reminds me of Bladerunner, but then again most things do. 🙂

Yeah, but if you're transferring memory, the soul is not there. So if it applies to our "mind" living on the internet, basically them transferring memory, our soul and connection to God would not be included. When your soul isn't there, the result is evil.

They have perfected clone technology and microchips in 4 decades. They are 100 years advanced in technology. So honestly that makes me scared for what social media is really being used for. Every one is spilling their guts and every single thought, no concern about who is watching. They must have nefarious plans. Why does Instagram rhyme with "pentagram"? Just a thought. Can't be a coincidence.
 
if your mind lived for ever on the internet it would fill with infinite amusing cat videos, until some cleaner unplugged you by accident or google forced a firmware upgrade and bricked your host device.

.... I almost want to believe that last part is parody, but I fear it's not. Cause I once had to sit though one of my conspiracy theorist friends idiotic videos going on for over half an hour about all the words ending in "ship" and how it's all a part of a conspiracy.

No, gram is the end of piles of words, the connection between Instagram and pentagram is neither a coincidence nor are they related in the way you suggest. It's because gram as a suffix refers to "written".

It's simply how languages evolve. Or if you prefer it's simply how god crafted them when he caused endless conflict by confounding the languages because humans had the audacity to fear he'd have another tantrum and flood them again. And attempted to prevent it with the tower of babel.

Also, not all of us are on social media. I'm not.

It was just a thought, but thank you so much Jess for your condescending ways! So very condescending. Guess that helps you feel better about yourself. I'm not on social media either, haven't been for years.

Sigh. Yeah you're right I was condescending. I thought about editing my post to tone it down but I was frustrated.

I offer my apology for being needlessly condescending and hostile.
