dude you literally heard him on TV call John McCain a loser for being captured and crippled in Vietnam.

He also said on TV “I have more training, militarily speaking, thank most of the guys in the military.” (I assume because he went to west point for high school)

Those two are facts straight from his mouth. No argument about if he said them or not



Also John Kelly has corroborated trumps attacks and ridicule of veterans. John Kelly marine Corps general. This is a rhetorical question but who do you think is more likely to be the liar here: John Kelly Donald Trump?

Which one of those guys has a career long history of lying and fraud and which one has some amount of honor and self respect by ascending to the top of the marines as a leader. Kelly the Marine General or Trump?

You have a daughter? Who would you rather she marry a young John Kelly or a Young Donald Trump.

Be honest with yourself he’s a lying piece of filth and scum. Most ppl that win at politics are. You have to be a corrupt lying piece of shit to make it in US politics.

There are a few on both sides I respect. The honest ones who truly care about their constituents and the country as a whole.

But both sides slander them into obscurity.

Regardless of what you think of his ideology, Bernie Sanders is probably the most honest politician out there. Look what the DNC did to him in 2016.

The majority of modern politicians just want the fame and to enrich themselves with wealth, while doing as little for the people as possible.

Because they don’t give a flying fuck about soldiers, the flag, the anthem, the constitution, Christian teachings, or first responders.

They use those things as props to virtue signal with. To cover up somewhat that they are some evil America hating mother fuckers. They absolutely hate everything that America is with a passion. Pretending to jack off to the American flag is their way of trying to hid their complete hatred of what America is.

The America they claim to love doesn’t exist. It never did. They hate America as it is. They hate what the constitution outlines, they hate this country with a passion.

When your ideology is based on hatred and and end goal of genocide; a good chunk of the country + combined with a total hatred of academia, science and the pursuit of truth —-you better sugar coat that turd with something and that something is all the “patriot veteran first responder shit” they go on about.

Same thing with police. They don’t give a flying fuck. They tried to murder police at trumps command. They smeared feces and urine all over the capitol and flags inside it. They only like police when they are slaughtering black ppl but outside of that they hate the police.

During George Floyd they were all about supporting police. Then J6 happened and suddenly they were the victims of police, they still say "defund the FBI"

If trump wins in 2024 the George Floyd riots are going to look like Disneyland in comparison. Because he should’ve been in prison Jan 7th with no bail. Especially with his promise to send the military into major cities to take over control from local governments. That’s going to be a bloody civil war right there.

If he loses I think his followers will carry out some terrorism but there isn’t enough of them at “fighting age” to really up end the country. Most of them are too old to last very long with a societal collapse.

All I know is that this 2024 election is going to be extremely ugly if Trump isn’t excluded from the ballots.

Like I hate guns but I have plans to finally become armed before the election rolls around because it’s going to be really ugly I think.

I don't disagree but don't you think that excluding him will create its own form of ugliness?

I'm Australian so not invested at all beyond my desire for a stable world, and the reality is that a collapsing US is possibly the quickest route to global chaos. Which really feels imminent. I've never felt so deeply that we are living in history than now. Whatever comes over the next year or two may make the 20th century look like a mere scuffle.

I’m sure it will but at least the military won’t be involved in carrying out trumps orders to do whatever it is he thinks they are going to do in “liberal cities.”

I keep hearing him say that he is going to send the military in to clean up cities like NYC and SF and LA. That’s going to be the ugliest scenario that can possibly result from any of this imo

It will be a display of why the 2nd amendment exists that’s for sure
 
A big advantage for Trump during his one major political victory (the 2016 election) was the element of surprise. Nobody thought he could possibly win. He won’t have that advantage in 2024, and he’s made a lot of powerful enemies since that time. I don’t see him having enough clout, as it currently stands, to actually take power. That’s based on my own observations of his movement in the USA.

He has a cadre of die-hard MAGA fanatics who hang on trumps every word and see in trump a bomb they can use against a system they hate. Then there are a bunch of upper-crust conservatives, the right-wing elite, who have barely-contained disgust and embarrassment at some mannerisms and policies of trumps but continue to awkwardly support him cuz they see that as the most plausibly successful path back into power. Trump has had political success and is charismatic; the people who will benefit from trumps policies have no political charisma so they need trump out there doing his thing, trying to recreate 2016 magic or something, I guess? Except, make it even more crazy, fucked up and dystopian-sounding?

Outside of those elements, he doesn’t have much support really. Maybe some independents, if they feel like the situation has gotten bad enough, but most people don’t have fond memories of the final days of his presidency, during late 2020/early 2021. Approximately one out of every two Americans is strongly opposed to trump and basically hates him with a passion. I don’t think it’s impossible for him to become president again, but I think it’s gonna be tough

If he goes down on (any/all of) these charges, people in his own movement will go nuts of course, and the leaders of the movement will raise trump up as a martyr, but you can’t tell me that some of those other dudes + Nikki Haley wouldn’t be secretly loving the fact that he was out of the picture so they get a lane open for themselves while they wait impatiently for trump to keel over lol

That's because the right in America is no longer a political platform of desired policies and outcomes along with the actions and legislation to achieve them. It's a cult of personality now, through and through, dedicated and unified to the blind idolatry of their reigning all-in-one king, godfather, and pope. Seriously, does anyone doubt for a moment that he could hand out the kool-aid, tell his followers openly that it contains cyanide, command them to drink it, and vast numbers of them would still do so?

i enjoyed seeing him trolling the GOP establishment at the debates but i don't think i would vote for him over a coke-addled baboon

in terms of his political strategy, he fails to ape Trump's use of strategic ambiguity. like rather than saying "we should look at birthright citizenship" or something that could effectively be interpreted however the winds blow, he was more explicit. because of this he will never be able to win independents like Trump did.

I think that old jerk should be convicted on the charges in Georgia, but he should also totally be allowed to run from prison. It's only democratic. Banning candidates from the ballot is third-world country stuff.

These chumps who run against Trump to be the nominee, why should anyone pick them if they’re unwilling to differentiate themselves from Trump? If they really have no substantive differences with Trump, then why shouldn’t the voters just pick the genuine article rather than some knock-off? I don’t get it, maybe it’s just an audition for VP or in hopes that they could be waiting in the wings in case Trump goes down from his legal stuff
