what can you do if nothing helps, if life is a struggle and it seems like it will never change.

prescription meds, psychiatrists, self-therapy refuses to change a thing. things will change is what i hear all the time.. but they never seem to, i've been hoping for something to change for a long time, but i guess it wont

is there anything else i can do but wait for change?:|

sorry for this thread but i've run out of options:|
 
You can help to make things change! Try different things. Make some new friends. Go on an adventure. Arrange a scavenger hunt with your family and friends. If you are in a rut you just need to dig your way out. Once you get started you'll feel more positive about life :)
 
That's a lie. Things won't necessarily change. They can remain as long as they want and if they do change, it could end worse.

Like said, YOU can change things!

Was life always a struggle for you??? Or did problems come along at a certain point???
 
Change does not just come to those who wait. Change is something that you must make happen. You have to work for it. Perhaps you need to work harder or approach things differently. It would also be a good idea to talk to your therapist or your family about how frustrated you are that nothing seems to be changing.
 
Decide what you want and go for it. Sure certain experiences come to us without us having to look for them, but just being passive and hoping for the best doesn't work. I've tried to live like that only to be disappointed.
 
What is it that you want exactly out of life ? Things and people change all the time,with each new experiences your personality changes slightly and your response might be different than two days ago. Plants grow, cars rust, cities grow, relationships fail... Everything changes all the time. The most difficult to change are your habits which in connection with your mind feed one another and you feel like nothing changes. And like others have said, the change regarding your life is up to you. You have convinced yourself how nothing changes in your life, yeah it does not if you do not do anything. Try to change that, stop convincing yourself into believing such stuff-Meditation is good to help one see how quickly we can convince ourself how something is. But unless you give thoughts power, life is nothing predetermined, it is yours to shape. And try to work out as much as possible to boost your serotonin levels and to stay away from drugs and alcohol. Try to find out what makes you happy but also try not to have a fixed image in your head of what life should be like. Certain waypoints and goals yes but not a firm fixed image, life is way too unpredicatble and things often work out differently than expected (which is far from bad, life can surprise you, but you need to put in some effort).
