I had a hard time keeping my eyes open at a staff meeting today and I'm on probation now. I'm usually asleep by 10:30 or 10 and I get up at 7 every day, even on the weekends so that this doesn't happen. I have insomnia and anxiety and I'm on under 1mg suboxone. I can't stay awake even when I don't take the sub so that's not the issue.

Low doses of amphetamines or psychedelics? Supplements that are more safe than speed? All advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks for helping me keep my life together.

caffeine does wonders for me when i have to work, stims like adderall XR do wonders for work also, just make sure you stay hydrated and properly nourished during your speedy adventures.

both can be good at times for me, but i try to stay away from taking caffeine/amps/stims daily because it exacerbates my anxiety on some days and i dont always want to be so speedy and stimulated

maybe your diet/exercise are to blame? try getting atleast 30mins of exercise 3-4 times a week and eat healthy complex-carbs like bananas, nuts, honey, ect... which will give you long lasting energy. stay away from dairy products in the morning and dont over consume protein as tryptophan can make you really sleepy.

I lift weights six days a week and do cardio on the seventh. I consume ~150g of protein daily as part of my diet since I'm trying to gain weight. Caffeine and adderal both give me bad anxiety, and I don't want to come home from work crashing too hard to work out and hang with my roommates.

I was thinking of low doses of ritalin or psilacetin. I think I should alternate between a few drugs to minimize side effects? Any tips or tricks to staying awake at work?

I've tried this drug. Wiki doesn't explain it's mechanism of action. Could somebody, please explain it? It's marketed as an MDMA substitute and I wouldn't want to release serotonin too often.

Can anybody comment on provigil, adafinil 5-HTP and vitamin B6? How much do the former two induce anxiety compared to amphetamines? Do you get that lingering insomnia after coming down?

I think you should thoroughly exhaust all the natural options first before even thinking about drugs. They will only make your anxiety worse and at best 'mask' some of the symptoms.

Eat less bread and meat, foods like those make you sleepy.

For drugs, I would say caffeine or low dose amphetamines would be the most effective, but if stimulants make you ancy I'm not sure what else there is.
